At the defensive error. I can't believe we had 9 players before the ball, Heitinga had no back up so if you are moving forward you are not allowed to lose the ball there. Where was Mathijsen at that goal?

There was never a doubt when the ball fell to his Left foot.

There is nothing wrong with our frontline (and midfield) - every game we've had the ball, pressing, making numerous attacks, and making the opponnents backline a living hell.

Scoring wise we'll do not only ok, we'll comfotrbaly be one of the more fluidly scoring teams at the WC.
It's our backline that's a worry.

Hungary scored with their only chance (and look at our goal). We've been camping in their halve.

beautifull play between sneijder and Van Persie. Both find each other blindly. It was just too hard...

hope Robben comes in for Van der Vaart. He is a bit too slow in tackling back. now we have not enough pressure on the ball.

Having said this A good VDV always runs a lot and keeps pressure on the ball

Fucking unnecessary. It was really ugly, the force of the tackle on Heitnga's standing leg could have easily broken his leg there.
And it was at least a booking in any other game.

Yup, he's surprising me big time : much better than I ever expected.

If Van Bronckhorst takes his captaincy seriously then he'll withdraw himself from the first 11, he simply isn't good enough any more.

Midget is disappointing IMO, he stays too deep when he should get into the box.

All in all it's a typical Dutch performance : slick possession football with some great moves, yet no ruthlessness/effectiveness in front of goal, topped off with our usual moment of horror defending
