Highly entertaining game! Ridiculous defending from both teams though...Bluenine and the "defending is as beautiful as attacking" brigade won't be happy Roger Wink

    End product from Rommedahlcott Shocked

Great game - Kjaer is an interesting one, looks very tidy on the ball but the couple of games I've seen him before his defending hasn't been impressive + when u watch Serie A goals roundups he seems to be at fault for a lot of the ones Palermo concede.

Okay, it was definitely C.Poulsen with that poor pass. But I still don't know who made a long pass to Rommedahl.

Btw - Rommedahl is an opposition of Gomez, Gilardino or Ribery for me - he usually is playing well, when I'm watching him, and I'm usually surprised why he gets so much stick here.

Yeah, he reminds me of a Danish Rafa Marquez.

@Stinger: it was indeed Kjaer who made that long pass in the buildup for the goal.

Btw, I missed your posts I was expecting praising Marquez for game against France, he did great and there was an absolute praisefest (have no idea if word like this even exists) for him among Zonal Marking commentaries Laugh

What a perfect late tackle by... have no idea who, denying BAE a perfect scoring opportunity.

Bassong is surprisengly struggling for pace against Bendtner.

I thought he had a mixed game, he did well with some of his passing (as we usually expect) but also gave the ball away a couple of times. Defensively his lack of pace never got exposed because France were so shit - they never got behind the Mexico defense, had no pace, and had no "automatic combinations" between their attacking players. I read the Zonalmarking article too - IIRC they were mainly impressed by his versatility in being able to switch from CB to DM or even CM at times. I'm waiting to see how he does against the likes of Tshabalala, Pienaar and Mphele when they counter attack Biggrin

I wouldn't judge the defeders(Agger/Kjær) too harshly on the back of this game because this has been freakish and they are usually quite good. Kjær ate Van Persie in the first game. Give him a year or two and he will be among the top 10 Cb's in the world imo.

Is it really that hard to see that it was Kjær who made that pass for Rommedahl. Biggrin
