Müller and Özil have one thing in common
their favourite SITCOM is
"Two and a Half Men"
I wonder who they identify with
He struggled with his finishing, but all the other elements were already there, aften overlooked because of him not being a profilic goalscorer.Noah and the Bale wrote:Muller does the simple things well. I'm not sure he's as good as you guys think he is, given that against England neither of his goals were particularly difficult, all the hard work had been done by others, and up against top class defences in the CL he struggled,

He has been quality, no wonder Bayern are interested.
What are the exact qualities of van gaal-ish player?Ricardo Wetzel wrote:blutgraetsche wrote:Calidad wrote:Coentrao too has been very good. Forgot about him.

He already plays in a top league.

Think he has shown he can defend quite well . Been the left back of the tournament by miles
That is true he is a smart player. Will be interesting to follow him in Cl and in general to see which position he will take up. Gaal will use him as a SS in his 4-4-2 as long as Robben is there but I like him in a Kuyt role too.blutgraetsche wrote:Super Africa wrote:
Have to say Muller has grown on me. Still not sure if I trust him in a two man attack but in a right wing role a la Kuyt he could be quite good since he works hard but he is good technically too. Still prefer Ozil but I might have to revise my stance after the Argentina game.
Super, the most interesting thing about Müller (but also Özil, albeit in a different context) is his game intelligence, his runs without the ball, hence the nickname "Phantom". Skills, pace and hard work are one thing, but what makes him a truly great talent is his football brain, or 'instinct' even.
I knew he was a converted winger but he has seemed out of place defensively.lampiao007 wrote:Coentrao has been quality all year around for Benfica, so I was not surprised that he did well in the WC
And he has room to grow
Remember, this is the kid 1st year as LB. He started as LW,it's is original position

Impressive he may be, but he hasn't been miles better than Salcido.

Sorry I meant to say that he hardly seemed out of place despite him being a winger converted to Lb.lampiao007 wrote:Super Africa wrote:That is true he is a smart player. The only game he was more hard pressed was yesterday, and only after Danny came in, just because Danny never gave any support on the wing, and always drifted to the middle giving all the space of the world to Spain on that flank
I really fail to see where the kid was bad defense wise, after having to endure IC, Brazil and Spain attackers and not making one mistake or being caught out of place.
