Cruel for Japan, thought they were probably the better team but Paraguay really can defend.

Paraguay are dull, but you have to admit Cardozo and the rest can take a good penalty.

Estos europeos sí que son mierda JAJAJAJA en vez de ver la calidad de Japón, equipo que mapeó el piso con Inglaterra, equipo que los dominó en toda la cancha, ahora critican a Paraguay en vez de observar lo bien que juega Japón.
You euros are hopeless shite. You can NOT even see the quality in them Japan players, the same team that mopped the floor with England (euro shite!) that Japan team that dominated the overrated shite, and now you criticize Paraguay instead of watching how well organized Japan are.

So your argument is money? That makes no sense since im more likely to strive to be good at football to get a move for example to England if i was poor. If you got a population of 191 million all with that mindset then you're gonna get quite a few gems. Still your biggest attacking gem right now is Kaka

Re: WC2010 Round of 16 - Paraguay vs Japan
Strikers should always take pens first
I've only followed the match on BBC text commentary but it looked like both teams were playing for pens from the kick off. A shame, as Japan would have had it in them to have a real go at Paraguay. Two wins, two defeats is a decent result for us in a WC tournament when the group stage draw was ( once again) unkind to us, and the team can take courage from the brilliant win vs Denmark.

Todo, you should be patient. You have already seen your country winning two world cups, being runners up, producing the best players in the world like Romário, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaká. On the other hand someone is frustrated because the best English result over the last 20 years is a semi-final at home in 1996. That hurts...and their best player was nothing but the biggest let down of the World Cup. Not to mention his pathetic dive against Germany was punished by a lethal counter attack.

England have nothing. They won a WC at home, reached one semi-final and couldn't even reach a euroshit cup final at home.
English fans should have this kind of discussion with Greeks, Croatians, Danish and Mexicans, that is, fans of teams that are in their league.

To be honest i'd rather have a good league and a bad national team than vice versa, so i can't say i'm that jealous of Brazil.

Brazilian League is not bad. Premiership have more world class players, but the brazilian league is much more competitive. Last season five teams had realistic chances of winning the title with three rounds remaining. In the Premier League 17 of 20 teams are out of the championhip race by January. Didn't you prefer the Premier League back to the days when Newcastle fought for the title and the gap between you and United was smaller? Premier League was weaker than today, but it was more exciting.
Every year Brazil have at least two clubs in the semi finals of Copa Libertadores. Vasco defeated United in FIFA World Club Cup, São Paulo defeated Liverpool, etc. The best clubs from Brazil are not as good as the top clubs from England, but the brazilian league has a good level.

Thanks to the foreigners.
By the way, in 2014, if England qualify, I don't think they will seed a group. I'd love to have England in our group. You know, having the honour to play against the inventors of our favourite sport in our own WC, that would be lovely, don't you think?

It's you that seems to care about nationality, when it comes to club football it is a non-issue for me, and that's coming from someone whose team is mostly English.
