I too agree with all the popular choices of Brazil, Uruguay (agree with Pierre, possibly penalties before they beat Ghana), Argentina, and Spain. But I'm pretty poor at predictions so I reckon at least one game will throw a surprise...and not necessarily Germany (which arguably wouldn't really be a surprise anyway).

I think Ghana really have a chance to advance.
Uruguay played good so far, but they didn't face World beaters.

Ghana aren't world beaters either, that's why most of us are still picking Uruguay Wink

True. But for me both are on one level, both know they have the chance of their life, playing in the quarters of a World Cup against an beatable opponent.
Ghana could make history in being the first African semifinalist and playing for "all Africans"
Uruguay want to be the what they once where.

Its a true 50:50 for me.

The notion of a pro-African conspiracy in the World Cup is truly absurd. It goes against all historical precedent.
