Post by fcb Fri Dec 17, 2010 12:00 pm

    Roma 40-60 Shakhtar Donetsk
Shakhtar will be at the start of their season, so it depends on their physical level. I make them strong favourites though.

    AC Milan 49-51 Tottenham Hotspur
If Nesta and Thiago Silva are fit, then it's Milan. If not, then Spurs have a great chance. We already know they're going to outdo Milan in terms of speed, physical effort, and running. If forced to make a prediction, I'm going for the upset.

    Valencia 49-51 Schalke 04
Tough one to call. Valencia are inconsistent this season, Schalke form has improved but will they be distracted by trying to get back on track in the league?

    Internazionale 40-60 Bayern Munich
Great tie, anything could happen. Have to go with Bayern for now though.

    Lyon 30-70 Real Madrid
Unfortunately I just can't see a "Lyonazo" this time around Sad

    Arsenal 30-70 Barcelona
Trying to be realistic and not arrogant, this should really be comfortable for Barça, esp. over 2 legs.

    Marseille 25-75 Manchester United
Easy for Man. Utd. 0-0 in France, 1-0 at home.

    Copenhagen 40-60 Chelsea
Copenhagen are a tough team to play against, but Chelsea will wrap it up in the 2nd leg at home.

Interestingly (or not), my predictions above mean all the group winners (and sides playing 2nd at home) would go through. That's highly unlikely to happen though, there's always 1 or 2 upsets. Let's hope it's not Barça Smile

    Internazionale v Bayern Munich

    Lyon v Real Madrid

I really don't know what the outcome will be with:
    Roma vs Donetsk
    AC Milan v Tottenham Hotspur
    Valencia v Schalke 04
    Internazionale v Bayern Munich

    .... but I will make a guess!

Well, we know it will be an English team to lose, so either Marseille or Copenhagen would be your very obvious picks. I'll go with Marseille. Do I win?

    Roma v Shakhtar Donetsk

I was at work today and thought "I bet loads of people choose Shakhtar in the who's going through thread"

I fancy Roma though esp if Vucinic is fit - no threat of them actually winning it but I think Eyeties will generally be ok if they avoid the English and Roma's extra know-how will swing it.

    AC Milan v Tottenham Hotspur

Facing either Bale or Lennon is very difficult for Italian opposition - they don't play against anyone like this in their league - usually you'd want to win the home leg by at least 2 before facing Milan at the San Siro but its not a vintage Milan.

    Valencia v Schalke 04

Valencia got the tie every group winner wanted - its a bye.

    Internazionale v Bayern Munich

Hardest tie of the round to predict but Inter just shade it on account of how dire Bayern's defence is.

    Lyon v Real Madrid

Nightmare opposition for Real in the past - not under Mourinho

    Arsenal v Barcelona

    Erm...its Arsenal v Barcelona

    Marseille v Manchester United

Tough one for United - but they'll do enough.

    Copenhagen v Chelsea

Chelsea but prob not by a big margin.

WORST CL in AGES! Seriously, every year the same freckin fixtures. Thank god for Kopenhagen though, I hope they go all the way! Wont happen, but it would be so awesome.

    Roma v Shakhtar Donetsk

It´s AS FUCKING ROMA FFS Laughing ! That usually means a bye when you get them in the 2nd round or QF.

    AC Milan v Tottenham Hotspur

Cause the Serie A aint that good, even though Milan are awesome in the CL usually, this year they have been pathetic.

    Valencia v Schalke 04

Home advantage in the 2nd leg.

    Internazionale v Bayern Munich

The most overrated treble winner in history vs Bundesliga pretenders, depends if Robben is fit or not otherwise it will go to Inter.

    Lyon v Real Madrid

Madrids most important match since AGES, surely this will be their year...when they will go to the QF!

    Arsenal v Barcelona

Yes, Yes Arsenal are Barca´s retarded brother, but this time RVP might be fit!! You know what, lets go for Arsenal!

    Marseille v Manchester United

    2nd leg at OT.

    Copenhagen v Chelsea

Cause im a man of faith cheers

There are NO "English" teams, but rather CLUBS BASED IN ENGLAND. I thought this is self-evident for anyone with three fingers of forehead.

All the elite EPL teams are loaded with Johnny Foreigners with the odd "English player" in the lineup.

Liverpool: Strongest side possible sees Skrtel and Agger in central defense.
Mancs: Anderson is way better than Carrick, but the local boy must play says Slur Alex.
Chelsea: Alex and Ivanovic is the ideal center half pair, but Terry must play or else.
Arsenal: looks more like a Ligue 1 outfit.
Citeh: again, strongest side sees Adam Johnson and maybe Barry.
Hotspur: Gallas and Kaboul IS the strongest central defense. Lennon is the odd local player that makes the starting XI.

In reality, no more than THREE local cunts make the starting XI in their respective teams. So you see mes amis! call it like it is: CLUBS BASED IN ENGLAND!

To be fair..as shit as Carrick is. Anderson has been worse for about 2 years. He's recently come in to some form and has been rewarded with games. Carrick has only started 3 more times than Anderson.

Nani is the best one of their sort.

Spurs have Dawson, King, Tubby, Jenas, Lennon, Defoe and Crouch all playing regular football in their starting 11 with an English manager who the New York / Miami connection predicted would be a disaster.

I think we can allow them to retain a little bit of Englishness Puro. What you think, will you allow it ?
