Post by debaser Fri Sep 17, 2010 4:41 pm

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce believes he is good enough to manage any of Europe's top clubs.

Allardyce, once a candidate for the England manager's job, arrived at Ewood Park in 2008 having survived at Newcastle for less than half a season.

Ahead of his team's clash with Fulham, the 55-year-old said: "I would be more suited to Inter Milan or Real Madrid.

"It wouldn't be a problem for me to manage those clubs because I would win the double or the league every time."

Although happy in his current role, Allardyce added: "Give me Manchester United or Chelsea and I would do the same, it wouldn't be a problem.

"It's not a problem to take me into the higher reaches of the Champions League or Premier League and would make my job a lot easier in winning it."

    I really hope that's fabricated....

but to be fair, he's always had an unhealthy high opinion of himself.

I'm fairly sure Fat Sam is still hoping, praying, pleading, dreaming, begging, to his best mate Fergie that he'll pick him as Utd manager when he retires Smile

I was telling Allez that Wenger is a hypocritical self serving c**t, but in comparison to this fucking cretin he's bloody marvellous.

Does anyone know anyone who knows anyone who can make people disappear? I'd be happy to start up a fund. £1 donations to make Fat Sam disappear. For good

he's probably one of the best English managers in history when it comes to lower mid-table clubs, you can't argue with his results even if the style of football he plays might irk the purists.

Bolton are Premiership regulars for almost 10 years largely due to his legacy. He was only in charge of Newcatle for how long? Half a season? So it's perhaps not fair to judge him on that, although perhaps it proved that he's better served managing a smaller club with low expectations and he certainly should never be considered for the England job.

Alan Curbishley's Charlton stint was even better than Allardyce's at Bolton - done with even less money and playing decent football.

Then of course there's 'Arry who kept Wham a premier league club until he left. Same with Portsmuff. All the while playing decent football with both.

Steve Bruce's exploits with Birmingham and Wigan and now Sunderland rank higher, primarily because they play football.

John Gregory, Roy Evans - these guys were all far better managers than Allardyce. Because they played football

Allardyce and Pulis both export a disgraceful brand of rugby ball. It's grim.

They should both be taken round the back and put out of their misery. It's an effing disgracen

Seriously could it be any worse with him than any of the other managers we've had since Del Bosque left? I'm pretty sure he would, at worst, be better than Luxemburgo.

He would play Diarra every match, probably bring back Emerson, and spend £50m on Samba, Roberts and Kevin Davies. <Ale>

I want to see these quotes in the context in which they were said. I can't believe even such a horrible, egotistical wanker as Fat Sam could be this conceited, arrogant and delusional. Either way, it brightened up my afternoon reading the quotes, and if he is serious, he is even more of a prick than I thought.

on five live after the Bolton game Stuart Hall interviewed Sam Allardyce and completely pwned him - it was hilarious. He started by taking the piss out of him and ended by comprehensively defeating his complaints, arguments and excuses. I couldn't find it on the bbc site yet but if anyone can find it post it on here, it's great.

What has he won as a coach? Nothing special! So why does he think he is that great? You win trophies or do something amazing in a season if you want to be able to train big clubs.
