    Rafael Benitez has hit back at Sam Allardyce after his ludicrous claims that the Liverpool manager is lucky to still have a job.
    Speaking in Zoo Magazine, the Newcastle boss insisted Benitez would have lost his job by now for his failure to win the Premier League had he not guided the Reds to two Champions League finals.

    But Benitez has hit back and told Allardyce to mind his own business and concentrate on his own club.

    He told Liverpoolfc.tv: "I want to say two things. Firstly, I think he should be more worried about his own business because he must have more problems than to waste time talking about other managers.

    "Secondly, has he forgotten Liverpool winning the Super Cup, FA Cup and Champions League as well as reaching another Champions League final, a Carling Cup final and twice finishing third in the Premier League? Maybe he doesn't have a great memory."

    Not really.

    Benitiez was lucky for the fact that in Spain, managers of lower down clubs often get opportunities at the top clubs, which is the opposite case in the EPL.

    Would Benitez have got promoted with Bolton? you cannot judge people on what they couldn't do. The fact is Benitez got sacked at two clubs that were not big clubs. While Allardyce has been great with every club he has ever been at.

    My point was a simple point, Allardyce is not top material, he will never make a big club a championship winning club.... hes just not good enough.

    Rafa won La Liga with less resources than Allardyce has at Newcastle.

    Rafa is 10x the manager Allardyce is.

    Fat Sam is a twat for what he said about Benitez. He has an enormous chip on his shoulder that he, or infact any other English manager, has been given the chance to manage a massive club since the Prem inception. Instead of being dignified about it, he just sounds like an enormous c**t.

    Irrespective of whether he's a good manager or not (which I think he is), I wouldnt even bother stating a case for him. He just sounds like a xenophobic wanker and gives the likes of Puro / ABE's more ammo against the inward looking English mentality.

    You made up a fact about Rafa's time at Valencia and then compared it do Big Sam, 5 games into the EPL.

    Which is pretty impressive. He's taken three seperate clubs to promotion and made one of them a regular top ten finisher in the EPL and a really tough team to get a result against.

    Its not the point you made originally. And It's hardly true either. After all they've bought players like Villa, Joaquin, Miguel and Viana for large fees recently

    Don't get me wrong TRWP. I'm not arguining about what he said. Quite frankly I couldn't care less. What I'm arguing about is the Pool fans ascertain that he hasn't achieved anything, is a $h!t manager and that Rafa is 10X the manager he is. Which is pure bollocks

    a bunch of ENGLISH accountants trying to assess the value of a club in spain, ffs they could be way out. AND its revenue based only i believe not profitability so there could be a huge difference there

    Well Deloitte are international (actually a Swiss company I believe), so they're as likely to be correct in Spain as in England.

    Revenue is generally used as the measure as club profitability is very affected by short-term factors like league placings and player sales and purchases. Revenue is the generally accepted best measure of ability to generate cash.

    Yes it is revenue based, but the individuals collating this information are qualified to assess the revenue of a football club or any organisation, just because its in spain has no bearing on the money coming into the club its still money, its still measureable...


    Stop clutching at straws, the facts are there staring you in the face, Newcastle on last record, produced SUBSTANTIALLY higher revenue figures than Valencia by a percentage figure of over 50%
