I am with ya, Axe. Its a glorified friendly, and nothing would make me happier than Inter resting our key players during this event.

I remember when we all bemoaned Rafa when our league form was a bit dodgy and we went out the FA cup to Burnley. A few months later he won us the Champions League.

Inter wont win the treble again whether Rafa, Mourinho or Jesus Christ is in charge. Give him time.

It was more than a bit dodgy, You finshed 5th that season. The CL win kept Rafa in a job and he rode that win for 6 years. He finished outside the top 4 on 2 occassions and was rightly sacked for being very average. The way Liverpool fans defend him is a bit odd. G&H righlty got critcised last season, but rafa was the main reason for your appalling league placing. Now he's again being shown to be nothing speacial at Inter, the majority of Liverpool fans seem to making new excuses, like he needs a rest. Isn't the truth that he's a decent manager, but not great? He's a quality coach as he proved at Valencia, but as a manager, when he's the main man, he's pretty ordinary.

Moratti joking that he won't sack Rafa what with financial fair-play as it would cost Inter a lot of cash.

I am willing to give him time. No one at Inter expects him to win the CL again this season, forget the treble. But teh scudetto is the least we expect.... he has "led" us to the 6th spot so far, so forgive us for trashing him so far... and unless he improves drastically soon, he will go down as a coach who was less effective than Hogdson, and we all know how pathetic that sounds.... Plus I don't want to be mean to Bluenine, but in the video he put on the net celebrating Inter's win in the CL he seemed to be about the same size as Benitez.

Well he should have never gone there in the first place, you cant top a treble so..But to blame it all on Rafa is harsh, Midget is not in a good shape. And he is their only creative player, mind you he doesnt run a game for Inter but he has these decisive contributions that made them win last year all the time. He doesnt has it this season so far.

Because the set up does not suit him... players are asked to do things that do not benefit them, Sneijder now picks up the ball way too deep, sometimes from the CB's, and so does Stankovic, Maicon sits back a lot, Chivu goes forward, Milito does not connect through the lines... Benitez managed to destroy a winning team in no time.. I never expected him to do better than Mourinho, but I did not think he would reveal their natural loser identity so suddenly either.

God bless Rafa Benitez cheers For bringing things back to normal again! <Ale>
