Even when Man U won the treble.....The goals that were missed up front was amazing......but the forward line worked there tails off.......Bent could be a player to do this with another.

I like park a lot, some people dont rate him i think because he can look really average in the way he plays. A bit like a headless chicken. But whenever he was in the team, we created a lot more chances, his energy is amazing. And he is actually quite an intelligent player

Thats the thing I like most about Park, even more than his energy and workrate. His football intelligence is amazing, he plays so many good through balls and so many good runs.

He just has the odd game, where he contributes absolutely nothing, which pisses me off.

I see what you are saying, but rooney saha the closest we come to cole yorke i think. Both fast players who cover a lot of ground, and good on the ball. Game v newcastle we created 33 shots. alright it was only 2-0, but if you have 33 shots you are more than likely going to win.

Rooney will always be a hard worker anyway brian, i dont think you can take that out of his game, even if we bought bent and he did it aswell.

RVN got 21 goals last year in the EPL
    Rooney got 16
Bent had 18 in the EPL

I hope Saha, Rooney, and Ronadlo can make up for RVN.
If Rooney andRonaldo score more which I think they will the middle will be weak..Because backing tracing will slowdown

Yeah but we scored and created a lot more when he wasnt in the team. this is more important. bent got 18, but he was in a team designed to make chances for him, and really him only, plus 5 goals were penalties.
all rooney's goals were from open play...plus how many assists at least 9.

Rooney had to do so much more because we had no midfield, that problem will be gone this year. He and ronaldo recieved the ball far to deep.

Agree about that Rooney is a monster of a player the heart the size of a lion. I just want to see him tearing up the middle and the blasting forward. In a second wave attack rooney will get more space also... Either way you play him he will do well. Rooney is my favourite player. What do you think him scoring 20 goals a year and making a few assists is really good enough? What do you people want to see of Rooney..

I duno what you want from him Brian. 20+ goals plus 10+ assists and to consistently dominate games.
With ruud he was the legs for two people, it never worked, plus no midfield he had to be everywhere.

With Saha he has to do less and better midfield, can recieve the ball in better positions, while having more energy in these positions to be more effective.

I am very positive for the new season

totally agree with you. so u would prefer him to operate in a 4-5-1?

or put him in a 4-4-2? in that case u need to buy a striker.

The bookies see it as being the most one sided premiership race ever, But we all see it as being one of the closest and the most teams involved in possibly winning it, hope we are right, and it is close and exciting.
It could get boring if Chelsea keep running away with it.

    Latest odds

    Chelsea - 1/2
    Man United - 8/1
    Liverpool - 8/1
    Arsenal - 8/1

As for Rooney, Brian. His record gets better by the year, I think he should be getting more than 20 goals in all competitions next year.

Interesting about Hargreaves. No wonder we didn't go for it at £15 million.

He will start against the smaller teams but like Hleb sometimes he struggles with the physical side against the stronger sides hence fergie usually opts for Richardson or Giggs. Some of his link up play with Rooney is great they are the two players that most click in the team they hit it off straight away. If Park can add 7+ goals to his game he would be a top top player IMO
