hleb will shine this season. i'm not so sure about park. the addition of more midfielders will hurt his chances of playing. giggs will operate outwide more this season. i think he'll find it tough to hit the bench. its wasted talent in my opinion.

No when we play 442 Giggs will be a sub, I don't think he will play many games wide left he looked poor there in the first half of last season. I think he will be be back up for Scholes and will maybe come in for some european games if we get that far to offer a little bit of penetration and pace in the middle. It will be Park or Richardson on the left IMO

i'm sure giggs himself would rarther operate on the wings. in his prime he was the best player in the prem, imo.

Maybe he would prefer it but for the sake of the team he should only be used Central or off a striker

Who are we going to pick over him at the moment? O'Shea, Fletcher.

I guess that would rule out a striker and also indicate, we will be going with 3 central midfielders between Carrick, Senna, Hargreaves and Scholes.

Even if they sign, I still think Scholes will play against Fulham, the ban comes into effect the game after and the other players may not be ready yet.

Hargreaves transfer won't happen. Bayern won't sell him, they simply can't afford to lose another midfielder. Besides, the Bundesliga season has started already (Hargreaves played for Bayern), and August 15th (today) is the deadline for the Champions League, means if Manchester wants to play Hargreaves in the CL, ne needs to be in the squad by now.

That's why my club Werder Bremen did everything to finish the Mertesacker deal last week, for example.

Even if he was desperate to play in England?

I'd still be happy with just Senna to be honest.

Hargreaves is not "desperate" to play in England (he will eventually play in the EPL though, and Man Utd is a very likely choice), he actually is feeling well at Bayern. Bayern have always treated him well, he is from their own youth academy, the fans love him, and now that Ballack (and Ze Roberto) have left the club, he has even more responsibility in the midfield. Can you imagine that Magath played him in the OM position, Ballack's position, in the last few matches?

Bayern's midfield is already stretched thin. Bayern is similar to Manu, they almost never actually "sell" their players. Especially not in a situation like this. Hargreaves may move to the EPL next season, but definitely not this season.

I duno brian, who knows what fergie is thinking. if hargreaves cant play in cl, senna wouldnt be able to either? i dont think this is correct i think they can.

Hargreaves loves bayern but he wants to come, and bayern can buy somebody else with the money, they have a good dm already, and hargreaves isnt even playing in his position.

The move is very likely by the end of this week i believe

    Fair enough.

Would certainly like him but by the sounds of things Bayern were asking for £15 million, hence why I think Senna even for the short term at £4 million would be a better deal.

Not gonna argue whether he will come or not you cant be sure, but i believe him and senna will be put infront of the crowd before the game v fulham it is the plan.
