Barcelona - Real Madrid quadruple clasico

?

Really it's a septuplet of clasicos in 2011 because we will face each other in the Supercopa next August plus there will be the first league fixture of the 2011/12 season some time in the fall!

But basically we will win them all.

League game - Draw
Madrid's first priority will be to stop the rot and not lose. Barça are 8 points ahead and don't need the win. Both teams will be careful about cards and injuries ahead of the Copa final. All adds up to a draw, esp. if the score is level going into the last 10 mins...both sides will settle for it.


Copa game - Barça win, probably extra time


CL 1st leg (at Bernabeu) - Draw
CL 2nd leg (at Camp Nou) - Barça win

I was wondering if Nutters had been voting already...

The league game will be a draw.

Madrid will take the Copa.

Barcelona will advance to the Champions League final (with either a draw or a win at the Bernabeu).

Will be interesting to see how Jose and Pep line thing up on Saturday. A lot of suspicion that Mourinho is going to play a trivote with Pepe in midfield whilst Guardiola is going between Busquets and Milito as to who will partner Pique in the centre of defence.

Also, Ronaldo really needs to play well and score against Barcelona. For once.

No chance of Milito starting. If he does, we may as well give Madrid the 3 points and not bother playing the game. It'll be Busquets-Pique with Keita doing a poor impression of a DM. Or Xavi will have to drop deep at times, affecting his impact further up the pitch.

Heard some talk that Mourinho may play Marcelo as a left-winger with Arbeloa behind him...would be an interesting anti-Alves tactic.

I have a feeling Real will lose all the games except the ones in the CL. They will play the Final.

Is Mascherano not available?

The latest rumour I saw was that Marcelo could indeed be in midfield but more as 'interior' or the left sided prong of the three man trivote as opposed to filling the spaces in which Di Maria usually plays. But it would be clearly an anti-Alves move. He is clearly one of the danger men and always causes matchup problems down his flank. But I would have thought Khedira could do this similar to the way he helped to double Bale on the other side in the CL quarterfinal. I would love to leave Di Maria to try and exploit the space behind Alves when we inevitably go on the counter.

he could play, but mourinho would bench dimaria first from all attackers

against barca you need 3 work horses which can defend and also can play a dead ball
