Pique might yet make the XI but it will probably be last minute. Mascherano looks out after yet another colossal f*ck up against Milan. Shame.

Ancelotti hinted that Bale would start and the way Di Maria is playing the logical player to drop is Benzema. Alonso is supposedly ready but with zero matches since last year I doubt Carletto will through him into the XI.

I doubt bartra will start, if he didn't start the milan game don't see him starting this, unless pique doesn't make it.

this game doesn't have the space spice has neither team seems to have much of an identity, but i am looking forward to see neymar vs arbeloa and bale coming off injured after 30 minutes, after being forced into starting because its the clasico after all.

It's the moment of truth for both clubs and their respective managers. Lack of Mourinho-isms in the pre-match buildup may reduce the 'spice', but the match is rather important not just for emotional, but rational reasons. Barca win and they keep Real in check, widening the gap to 6 points. Real win and they've closed the gap, plus having the advantage of the better head-to-head, at least for now.

Neither clubs have been fully convincing against better opposition so far, so it'll be interesting to see who is going to come out ahead.

i almost have watched every madrid game in this season, and barely watch barca outside the clasicos in the last 2 years, they are simply to dominant=boring with there possession style, while madrid is more spectacular with counter attacking style
