    He deserves to be acknowledged for his excellent, mature performances at what is basically a mid-table club. (Are you referring to Newcastle or Liverpool? -Ed.)

    Perhaps not. He was below par against Man City, but then again so were a few players (Valencia didn't fare any better on the other wing). What other games are you thinking of?
