    Not sure if better is the right word, but it's getting pretty difficult to deny Bent>Defoe. Hell, at the moment a Bent>Torres seems pretty reasonable.

    I long for the day when a ref gives a penalty against Stoke for their constant cheating when defending set pieces. Every time they have hands round necks, drag players to the ground, whatever. And everytime they get away with it.

    I know every team does this to an extent, but no-one else builds their entire attacking and defending game around it.

    Wonderful "point" youre making there I'm sure, except I don't get it? That we ve spent a lot of money but failed to overhaul man city, who've of course spent peanuts? That the spurs wage bill is half that of arsenal, who are themselves lightyears behind city, united and Chelsea? No mention that we also made 60million from the sales of defoe, keane, berbatov and bent around the same period of some of these signings. Or is it the quality of signings, inwhich cas gallas, VDV, kaboul and Sandro have all been massive flops haven't they?

    I suppose getting to the quarter finals of the champions league and probably finishing 5th is the kind of season which opens us and our manager up to ridicule, especially from some purist Watford supporters Rolling Eyes Laughing

    2 Successes - VDV & Gallas (very short term)
    1 potential success - Sandro
    4 Mega flops - Crouch, defoe, Palacios, Keane.

    The rest are very unconvincing.
