Robert Earnshaw has re signed with Cardiff on a free ! A good deal for them and they really needed a good striker after Bothroyd, Bellamy and Chopra leaving.

He can be. The down side is his huge levels of inconsistency. Can be devastating on his day though, lots of pace and agility, powerful finisher. The big Juke was quality tonight though, great finish for the first and immense header for the second. Great to have him back. Think he could be the difference up front for us this season. Carayol looked very handy tonight too

Glad you beat Blackburn. Horrible club these days. Only redeeming feature is Danny Murphy plays for them. God only knows why. And Rhodes moving there was also very strange.
Mobray is a decent manager. Haven't seen any Boro games this season but I'll bet my left testicle you are playing good passing football under him. How did Mceachran get on?

smogcopter, who was that young Boro winger that went to Chelsea a few years ago? I can't remember what happened, they tapped him up or something, there was something underhand about it.

Re: Championship & Football League
I'm guessing you might mean Nathan Porritt? It was Chelsea and Liverpool.. (possibly Newcastle too?) anyway... He never went to either club. Stayed here a while, got loaned out to Darlington where I know a couple of fans who slaughtered him, as did the rest of the fans. Apparently he was very lazy, arrogant and though he was waaaaay to good for them, they were glad to see him go. He never played for us in the end and we released him. God knows where he is now.

Coyle's career has taken such a turn for the once. He was one of the most promising British managers in the game when he was at Burnley. Not quite sure why it hasn't worked out at Bolton. Hopefully he can get back to his previous level. Much better manager than Lambert

Swings and roundabouts my friend. Lambert knew Norwich would get relegated this season, hence why he jumped ship in the summer. Basically left Chris Hughton nothing to work with

Er, he left him a team that had finished 12th and has a year's experience in the PL. It's not like they've lost any key players in the summer.

Re: Championship & Football League
There's been so many examples of team's overachieving in their first season before dropping off alarmingly the next. What's worst is that there are no standout players in the team. And Grant Holt doesn't count.

Re: Championship & Football League
As there's no stand-out players in the team, then surely Lambert overachieved.
Although I do prefer it when manager's stick with a newly promoted club past the first season, proving it wasn't a flash in the pan. I imagine Phil Brown is regretting not jumping ship when the going was good.
That said, Swansea and Norwich were far more impressive than Hull, and I'd guess the contracts that Rogers and Lambert received make their decision difficult to disagree with.

Re: Championship & Football League
I think that bitterness about him leaving Colchester is biting through again..Lambert did extremely well, getting them promoted and keeping them in the league. Coyle got Burnley promoted then fucked off half way through the first season, no? Leaving them to get relegated..
How on earth is that in any way better than what Lambert has done? It's worse if anything..as he then got the team he moved to relegated as well.
