Schalke need another goal. Their defence is way too dodgy.

Birmingham 2 -0 up against the Portuguese. Yes, that's right, a team not even in the Premier League comfortably going through.
Stoke 4-0 on aggregate currently against Swiss
Fulham 3-1 up
Spurs 5-0 up.
When a league is this fucking good, it doesn't need Huntelaar. He's found his level

You will eat those words soon enough Bernd. As if English clubs had set the Europa League alight lately.
Once your strikers play stronger opposition than Scottish sheep herders and your HARD WORKING ALLROUNDER Pav doesn't hit a barn door again, you WISH you had a clinical striker like the Hunter.

This Pukki dude seems like a pretty interesting player. Should be a bargain, maybe we should try to sign him.

Re: 2011/12 Europa League Qualifying Rounds
Fulham were in the final 2 years ago.
Can't even remember what happened last season, but no doubt did better than the Bundespooper.
Suck it up Blut, whilst you bang on about being the bestest league at being competitive / rearing young urchins / selling sausages, well just let the enormous haul of co efficient points over the last decade do the talking.
Winners

You will suck it all up and gulp it all down soon enough. The Uefa Cup /EL record of BL teams in the last 5 and more years has been better than the EPL. FACT!

Impressive performance by Schalke, hats off. They needed a high win, they even conceded again tonight but still never lost their belief and scored 6 past these Finish polar bears who are better than expected. A few promising players in their ranks.

very unlucky own goal from hannover
1:1
hannover looks very good, even after the painfully own goal they played like before the goal, its really a settled team
very happy for schalke, but schalke needs to sort out there problems, soon

Re: 2011/12 Europa League Qualifying Rounds
The only way that could ever be true is because you krafty krauts have exploited UEFAs enormous loophole, namely your clubs doing shit in the CL but finishing 3rd in the group stages and drop down and pick up points in the Europa Cup. In the meantime, teams are far down as 7th in the Prem are playing Champions of other leagues and Bundesliga clubs finishing 2nd and 3rd.
Simple fact it's a rarity for premier league clubs not to get out of the group stages in the CL so relying on midtable sides with ambition to do better in the league and play weakened sides in this competition. But when a team does take it seriously like Fulham, you get a side 11th in the league reach the final. Easy

We will see how the mighty Spurs will do this season. I can see 'Arry being outcoached by some obscure Eastern European side easily.

Ja, sehr guter Torhüter. Manchester United's loss, but what do you expect? They don't have a friggin' clue on the island when it comes to goal keepers.

Harry has made no secret of his disdain for this competition. When you've eaten steak why settle for hamburgers?

Re: 2011/12 Europa League Qualifying Rounds
There is good money to be earned in the EL this season. And with the emerge of Man City, 'Arry better get used to EL football. Better take the competition seriously, it's just lame not to. Winners take every competition seriously.

Hannover need to keep a cool head now. Easier said than done in that atmosphere, with all those provocations, and the increased pressure by Sevilla.

Re: 2011/12 Europa League Qualifying Rounds
The money generated by EL is spare change in comparison with the CL or even the Premier League.
Fact is, UEFA dug their own grave when they turned it into a group stage copy of the CL. Playing up to 17 games as Fulham did to reach the final- how many clubs are going to take that seriously when stretched as it is with domestic games. The Italians gave up giving a shit about this competition ages ago. Personally , would love to see Spurs go all the way but realistically the only people taking it seriously are a few Germans crouched over their calculators
