It has to be the most attacking line up Mancini ever fielded working with City, Richards and Kolarov as full backs, Nasri and Barry as pivotes plus quartet of Aguero, Dżeko, A.Johnson i Silva.

Refs having another nightmare today, in terms of inconsistency. First the harsh red for Cisse, then a deserved red for Huth, but no red for Baird for his assault on Dzeko. I guess the video committee can't retrospectively ban him for that either, since the ref 'saw' it and gave him a yellow Doh

City penalty decision was also controversial, Adam Johnson 'winning' it rather than any foul from Baird.

Despite watching full match I had to miss it.

Also, Kolarov for me should be sent off - first he fouled Dembele (he should be booked for that and he was) and afterwards both clashed, and only Dembele got booking for that. Hate inconsistency liek that.

What do footballers do when they're injured and their team is playing?

Most of them sit bored in the stands watching their teammates.

    Darren Bent goes shopping.

Wayne Rooney drinks a beer in the executive box.

    Balotelli?

    He does magic tricks.

After having all the chances we concede a ridiculous goal. As ever significant blame goes to Hutton. He was the one who fucked up and gave up possession in the first place, then he's in some absurd position failing to do anything about the throw-in on his flank, where the cross comes in. Dodgy marking in the middle too. Stephen Warnock has broken Ryan Taylor with a pretty reckless challenge in the melee.

Pretty shit second half performance. Should've brought Gardner on at HT for Clark who looked more like the CB he is in CM. Defence is shit, but we had more than enough chances to draw or win that. First half was quite good.

Is the video panel able to review Warnock's lunge at Ryan Taylor in the buildup to the goal? Surely should have been a red card even if the goal was scored?

Not a bad start for Cisse. Biggrin <Ale>

I think Villa played pretty well actually, or atleast better than I expected. The sat back and tried to hit us on the break, which is the best way to play with our slow CB's and high line. Problem was Bent was shite and Krul was awesome as always. I do wish they didn't hack so much though.

We fucked up by not bringing in a fast CB. Erm

Lucky escape for Cahill, he definitely brought Welbeck down on the edge of the box. He could easily have seen red for that, and it's pretty unusual for Webb not to give a decision like that to Man Utd.
