Cheers MWP. And yep, as Borocooper says, just put him on your ignore list. I occasionally do with irritating posters, but sometimes it's more amusing just to point and laugh at them.

I don't know why I'm responding to Europa on this matter, such opinions were boring on this board 5+ years ago, and at least the WUMs then had the decency of either writing well, being funny, or offering an amusing/original shtick or concept (such as Arnaud's small pitch theory). So enjoy your smug sense of self-satisfaction for taking the novel idea that everything British is shit, and everything Italian or Spanish is technical magnificence (because it doesn't seem to stop you watching the Premier League at every opportunity); some of us are capable of appreciating and enjoy different facets of football.

I don't think anyone would pretend that it was a good tactical battle today, and defending in the NLD seems to have gone out the window ever since that 4-5 at WHL in 2005(?), but it was breathless fun and entertainment, and for the most part was played in a good spirit again. For what it's worth though, I thought the Arsenal goals were excellent today and most of them created through fine attacking play. Europa may have missed the delicately executed little flick from Rosicky for his goal, but I'm sure it's the sort of thing he'd have been creaming himself at if an unknown La Liga player had done it. Personally I didn't watch the Barca-Valencia match the other weekend and think that despite getting hammered Valencia were demonstrating a wonderful tactical performance. I just enjoyed the great attacking football from Barcelona. Equally, I didn't dismiss them because they were playing against a crap defence, or indeed because Barca's defence is shite whenever they're under the slightest pressure. If I did that rather than just enjoy the football that was played I'd be as tedious as you are whenever an English team takes the field.

Onwards and upwards. If we can get something against man united next week that will be a big show of character.

On a side note, as much as it pains me to admit it, worms and the continual repetitive negative moaning about the quality of the league is starting to put me off posting on these boards.

Khazar, my dear friend 0trick! How are you? I want Harry Redknapp for England, sincerely! <Ale>

Did you see how Redknapp made Walcott look "world class"!!!

Why are you getting angry with worms/Europa/BlackRhino/Obispo/LRD...? He speaks the truth unlike Gary Neville. How in the world he has the nerve to toot the same little horn "best league in the world" lol! lol! lol!

How is the EPL gonna improve when the fuckos from the media aren't capable of pointing out the comedy of tactics from the so called "big teams" like Arsenal and Tottenham?

Did you see how Norwich THREW THE GAME? I made CA$$$H again with Castle Grayskull. It's so predictable, I just KNEW Norwich were gonna switch off, stop hustling and allow 50 year old Giggs to run past every defender, receive the cross unmarked and score from basically under the goal. Biggrin <Ale>

    + 1 The truth hurts.

I criticize every English team including Liverpool,it's not like I am singling out Tottenham.

That was Skrtels fault for not stepping up.Enriques as well like but I expect better from Skrtel.

Luis Suarez is shit I don't care what anyone says he constantly loses the ball and can't finish. If he had a brain he would be a very good player.

I would probably make a point if I thought they were incessantly talking rubbish. I don't watch Serie A week in, week out, so I'm not in a position to defend the league. I've often defended the Bundesliga on here though when I thought people were criticising the league unfairly, so I don't think I'm especially hypocritical. Personally, I will praise football I see that I enjoy and criticise what I dislike, rather than take a childish view that A is always good, and B always bad.

In any case, it's not my 'beloved' PL. I don't like this league any more than others that I watch, aside from the team I support playing in it.

Yo Europa/worms/LRD! What are you gonna watch later on?

The Valencia vs Sevilla is a given, but which one after that? I'm watching the AWESOME Rayo vs Madrid right now, and if I decide to watch the AWESOME Atlético vs Barça that would be THREE straight La Liga matches, FFS! Shocked

I really want to watch Napoli vs Inter (who wants to return to the CL next season?) Whoop

I'd probably watch the Serie A AWESOME battle and watch the second half of the WAR between Atlético and Barça. <Ale>

Liverpool getting closer and closer. They just need to be smart - don't overcommit and concede a 2nd on the counter. Wait till 60 mins, with patient build-up play, then bring on Bellamy and let his speed do the damage against Cardiff's tiring legs. Then gradually ramp it up with more attacking subs as they get more and more deep and defensive in trying to hang on.

Don't want to open a can of worms, but the quality of defending has really declined in the EPL in the last few years. I don't know what the reasons for that are, but I assume that is one of the major reasons why English teams have lost their dominance in the CL.

That said, you really must be a sad kind of human being to look for a negative spin in every match just to suit your agenda, instead of simply enjoying the sport and an outstandingly entertaining match. If tactical rigidity was all what this sport was about, it would have been called chess.

That said, you really must be a sad kind of human being to look for a negative spin in every match just to suit your agenda, instead of simply enjoying the sport and an outstandingly entertaining match. If tactical rigidity was all what this sport was about, it would have been called chess.

Oh shite! the entire playground ganging up on Europa/worms... lol!

WTF blut! at least his comments are much closer to the truth, a lot closer than the c**ts's from the media and their little Englander/huge inferiority complex suferer and their predictable "the EPL is the best league in the world" EVEN after the league has been humiliated this season. TFS!

    Thank you.

I take it as a compliment that I had elicited a strong reaction from a mundane no-frills poster like yourself.

Your understanding of compliment is flawed Ale

I will miss most of Valencia vs Sevilla because Liverpool are playing in the CC final now.

I want to watch both Napoli and Barca but they overlap,I am not sure whether to watch the first half of Napoli and the full Barca game or the full Napoli game and the 2nd half of Barca.

It depends how good the Napoli game is tbh,

How's the Liverpool game? I just finished watching Rayo vs Madrid. Fucking cracker I tell ya, with controversy and all.

Valencia vs Sevilla about to start now. Maybe I'll catch some of the CC final and support my Reds too. Biggrin <Ale>

Liverpool have been way on top,Johnson hit the bar from long range and we have had 4 or 5 more half chances,Agger missed a sitter but it got called offside anyway.

Cardiff had one chance and scored.Suarez has been shit constantly losing the ball and playing like a headless chicken and Downing has been our best player Shocked
