Yet you mock Kuyt. He works hard, puts in a lot of graft, seems to benefit from a fair bit of fortune and can take a penalty. He's basically a 90's German player.

What an insult Sheff. 90s German player?!? If you said that he reminds you a bit of Guido 'Diego' Buchwald, fair play to you, but for that generalisation I hope Arsenal get relegated!

I reckon a couple to be missed by Cardiff, possibly Miller.

Downing would miss if he takes one I reckon. Maybe Suarez.

You called it on the Cardiff players, but Downing's penalty was good. Glen Johnson's penalty the best maybe...

Yeah, Downing genearlly has been good on the pens over the years. Just figured it'd be suitable for him to miss the way his season has gone Razz

Forgive me. As has been noted earlier today I'm an insular islander, so my experiences are either Klinsmann with his comedy diving or Freund. Kuyt fits in to the 'work hard' Freund mode.

Shame that Cardiff blew it with the penalties. Three off target is just not good enough. Is there any mileage in a conspiracy theory based around Liverpool's captain's cousin missing the crucial penalty?

Congrats to Liverpool, but they made it bloody hard for themselves. And credit to Dalglish - he's poor at transfers, so-so in the league, but he's got them a trophy. Probably secured his job for next season, even if they finish 7th now. I never imagined that he would win Liverpool a trophy, even if it's the smallest one (and they still have a chance in the FA cup) ok

Would you rather not win the FA Cup as well?

How about finishing in a Cl spot? Would you rather not do it if it means Drawglish having another season?

The whole reason I want Rafa in instead of Kenny is because I think we stand a lot better chance of getting top 4 under Rafa so if we got top 4 then I would be happy for Kenny to stay.

Sorry that it turns you off, MWP. I'd reduce my WUMMery, if it helps. Even though I never see eye to eye with you, you're one of the posters I look forward to.

    Stinger,
Not really. IIRC It happened in previous derbies as well when Bale switched to the other side (non-Sagna side), it resulted in to a goal.

Laughing cheers boyo. Im not averse to WUMmery myself, but I'd like to think the reason behind my visits here wasnt mostly just to piss on other people's chips.

Mixing it up is what keeps posters and this place interesting. Look at Deisler/kroos. He can be a brilliant WUM (almost as good as Fey, the Dutch Prince of WUM), but then also chucks in some excellently balanced observations even with his pigeon English. Reeespect. Multi faceted poster and casual body builder. Massively interesting.

On the otherhand, hearing the same unwavering agendas, some going back to 2006, from the same dominant posters, over and over, is what makes it feel stale and predictable. I cant be the only one who finds it a turn off.
