Its very close at the bottom. So who is going to drop ?

    13 West Brom 26 (-2) 32
    14 Swansea 26 (-6) 30
    15 Aston Villa 26 (-5) 29
    16 Wolves 26 (-21) 22
    17 QPR 26 (-18) 21
    18 Blackburn 26 (-22) 21
    19 Bolton 26 (-25) 20
    20 Wigan 26 (-27) 20

Blackburn put in one of the worst performances ive seen in a long time on saturday, they had one shot at goal and we had 78% possession. However, they have improved at home recently and i can see them picking up a few wins at home. Bolton also have some good home games to come..but their problem is they have been terrible at home so its hard to tell. QPR have spent a bit in Jan and have some good players but seem to be on bad form depsite bringing in Hughes, they have got 1 point out of their last 4 games which were all big ones v Fulham, Blackburn, Wolves and Villa. Will the appointment of TC rally Wolves ? Well they need to stop conceeding goals for a start. Wigan v Wolves on the last day could be a massive game.

I hope the north west clubs survive...simply cos they are easy to get too away games and the teams coming up could all be southern at this rate. Although it has been said in the past and counted for nothing I think Villa will have to much to go down and Swansea will grind out enough points at home. So i think it will be 2 from 5, Wolves have some really tricky games like us, U*d and Arsenal at home and i think they will go. Wigan i just dont think are good enough and are really struggling at home against teams they shoud be beating.

Id say Wigan, Wolves and QPR.

I think Wigan, Bolton, Wolves would be my favourites currently but if we lose at Blackburn next week, we are definitely in it.

McLeish is the one man I think is more than capable of taking us down from this position. We're 1 point worse off than Birmingham at this stage last season, got just 2 points from the last 7 home games and have just lost the 2 players who have scored 7 of the 9 league goals we've managed in 2012. 20/1 odds for relegation look generous

Somehow that 7 point gap makes aston villa look relatively safe, but if they can go on a run of defeats then who knows.

I wouldn't mind bolton and blackburn going down as I am tired of watching them, and QPR just because of barton.

The 7pt gap that Villa have over Wolves is a bit more comfortable than say the 7pt gap that Spurs have over Arsenal, simply put because points are generally harder to come by.

Wolves, Blackburn and Bolton to go down.

I hope that scummy club Wigan go down,no English players,no fans and they have yet to take even 1 point of United in the league.

Anybody can beat anybody in this league? Nope and there's your proof right there.

Well they have a few,the point is they have a lot of foreign players but they're all rubbish. If your going to bring foreigners in at least make sure there good players otherwise it's just a waste of money.

    Wigan, Bolton, Wolves.

I cant believe people still dont believe me when I say Wigan will definitely go down. They are the West Ham of this season no doubt.

Will be some turnaround if Kean manages to keep Blackburn up.

I dont want to see Villa get relegated..but I do want to see McCleish get relegated, it's a tough situation.

I like Roberto Martinez but Wigan have been flirting with the drop the last two seasons and I don't think they will avoid it this time.

I thought it was going to be Sunderland but looks like MON has righted the ship.

Would like to see Blackburn's terrible owners suffer...they've messed things up at the club. Although admittedly relegation will only make things worse.

Bolton showed some decent football last season, I'm willing to grant them this season as a one-off if they can survive and return to midtable obscurity but playing decent stuff. Will be better for the league.

    Fair enough Ale

I disagree on Bolton, mostly..I still think they've played shit on a stick under Coyle, with the very occasional bit of nice stuff in between it.

Agree on the Blackburn stuff though, I sort of like that they've kept Kean on, because he doesnt seem to be some obnoxious c**t manager..but they did seem to do it to spite their fans.

I think so...says he's made 9 starts this season on the espn site.

But there was also something about Blackburn not being able to afford to play him anymore. Must be some weird contract clause.

Agreed it's not as good as some experts would have us believe last season, but they've always had a flair player or two that livens things up. Lee, Klasnic, Elmander (enjoyed watching him), Petrov, and clever loans like Wilshere, Sturridge, and now Miyaichi. Matt Taylor scored spectacular goals too with his left foot.

They'll be lucky to get 3 points out of those last 4 games. QPR looking most likely out of the 3 promoted sides to go down at the minute which I never thought I'd say at this stage. Expected Swansea to be the weakest but they've played some really good football and both them and Norwich seem to have a couple of players that will always get them goals i.e. Holt, Pilkington, Graham, Sinclair, Dyer etc.
