did Bayern give up on the league already or do they still think they can finish 1st? They can't finish 5th.

Puro, which bookies do you use? They seem to pay out whether your prediction is accurate, or as is more often the case, completely and utterly wrong. They're obviously very generous, although it's a questionable business model.

They looked overwhelmed and vulnerable for short spells in both games, but played more cohesively as a team for a lot of the tie.

well the apt precursor to the last European Championships was 3 English semi finalists and an all English final, it's impossible for Germany to do worse than England did that year.

Bayern were the better team over two legs and deserve to go through. They remain Real's bestia negra. Congrats to the Bayern fans! Ale

Alaba, Gustavo and especially Badstuber will be terribly missed in the final though. Despite the home advantage, that is quite a blow to Bayern's chances. Still, I think that they can edge it and become the first team to win the CL (not european cup) at home.

No, that's nonsense and blasphemy. It's that kind of thinking that has polluted the teutonic minds of Lahm and Kroos. I blame the influence of british pop culture.

At least you've weeded out the failures before Euro 2012. Those two won't be getting anywhere near a shoot-out at the championship.

Both Casilas and Neuer make the difference for their teams, as did Cech for Chelsea. When the going gets extra tough, you need that bit of extra quality between the posts. I know it's controversial but I've never seen Valdes in that category.

God dammit, typing on your mobile phone sucks...

Was there ever any doubt that Bayern were going to lose this penalty shootout? Even when Kroos and Lahm missed you know they would still win.

Both Barça and Real Madrid KILLED each other off. Both teams are emotionally drained! Barça also physically drained, with nothing left in the tank.

Not taking anything away from neuer, but I honestly cannot understand how the refs assistant stood parallel to the goal line cannot notice when a goal keeper comes off his goal line during a penalty shoot out. Meyer must have been about 5 yards off his when he saved the first one. What is the point of that rule, it happens so often

I really didn't notice him coming off his line,he certainly didn't look like Jerzy Dudek tonight.
