I would have thought Llorente was a more natural choice. He caused a lot of problems when he came on against Portugal in the WC. I think it makes sense to have someone high up the pitch because both Pepe and Bruno Alves are prone to mental lapses both in marking and possession. Negredo has been performing really well in training according to what I've read so maybe he deserves a chance.
