maybe italia wins vs spain (they beat them in a friendly before) and also they drew in the group and are the only team to score against Spain.

Bit of a tenuous stat if you have to say 'open play' to avoid the France goal in final and they went out in group stage in 2004 and 2010.
by my calculation, it's essentially 5 matches: Australia, Ukraine, Germany in 2006, Spain in 2008 (0-0, lost on pens), England 2012 (0-0, won on pens), which is good, but Germany is the only real impressive clean sheet from that lot, and it doesn't really compare to Spain's 9 in the past 3 tournaments

Twice = always? Italy could beat Spain but I think Spain's experience would give them the edge there - for Italy there is only really Buffon, De Rossi & Pirlo. German team is young but it won't be an unfamiliar situation for many of them, as it would be for most of Italian team.
