Sneijder available on discount sale

While many of us were wondering why Sneijder is taking so long to recover from his injury, the truth is finally out. Inter have frozen Sneijder from the squad, with the ultimatum of either agreeing to slash his wages drastically, or getting rid of him this winter.

I believe this means Sneijder will be sold this January, and at a cut price (10m-ish?) or even free like Lucio, Cesar & co.

I wonder what his destination would be... City? Man Utd? or some newly rich club like Malaga or Anzhi? Very few clubs can afford his salary of 6m, even if he takes a small cut.

This is been known for a while, hence that twat never went for a transfer. He likes it there. At least the money. He should retire, I can't see him being usefull on top level ever again. He should live off from that 1 hit wonder year forever. Which he will. Perhaps a Spurs, but no feckin way he will be playing for a UTD kinda club.

I disagree. Sneijder is a quality trequartista, its a dying art. Massive ego, yes, but IMO he is still good enough to play at the top level for a few more years, as long as he doesn't keep suffering injuries (perhaps the San Siro pitch has a role in that).

But perhaps its good for Inter to let him go now. We have Cassano, Coutinho, and Alvarez (and perhaps Bessa in the future) for the creativity, and cannot afford the midget's wages.

I guess he is most likely to end up at City or Anzhi, but IMO Man Utd need him more than anyone else. He would be brilliant behind Rooney and RVP. But I seriously doubt Fergie would go for him.

They already have Kagawa for that. Plus it would require very narrow midfield to accomodate him in AM position, difficult task with so many wingers available. United doesn't need so much creativity in final 3rd, they need it in middle of the park. Still don't get why they didn't go for Modric, who would suit their needs much better.

The Lampard of creative midfielders, can only give the pass when he has acres of space infront of him. He is rubbish and you should get rid of him.

i think thats still a top 5 side in the world, the attack and midfield is quality, still the gap to the leading teams has become bigger, the new generation needs time to settle

It's not a top 5 side ffs. I doubt it's even top 10 atm. But it has potential.
