Milan want Sneijder!

Milan director Ariedo Braida has been to Amsterdam to discuss the possible signing of Ajax midfielder Wesley Sneijder. The Rossoneri now accept that they will not prise Ronaldinho from Barcelona, and are looking at the Dutch international as a potential alternative.

The diminutive Sneijder has much to recommend him, as a genuinely two-footed playmaker with fine technique, powerful shooting and a good work ethic.

The 22-year-old will be viewed as a long-term replacement for his countryman Clarence Seedorf, who recently played out a public shouting match with coach Carlo Ancelotti.

It is believed a fee of around 10 million euros will persuade Ajax to part with one of their prize assets.

But no two paths are normally the same. He could be just as lethal or more so moving to Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea or Man United.

We have also been linked to him a couple of times.. I guess he is seen as a backup for Deco and Xavi, and a long term replacement for the Portuguese.

I doubt he will move to Chelsea .. Cruijff wont allow that.

Barcelona and Manchester United more likely .. but Stam as the Ajax captain may put in a (word or two).

At this moment i will rule out Madrid

Milan as i said is another possibility, so is Arsenal.

True, but is not good for Ajax losing their young players ..

For Ajax to become a 'big' club they must keep them and i think the board will 'refuse' to listen for transfer for KJH, i think Cruijff himself said KJH must honour his contract.

He could be a great buy, I as a milan fan wouldn't mind seeing him come to milan but we do have Gourcuff who is great. Though Seedorf needs to sharpen up if he wants to keep his first team position. Huntelaar would also be cool, but didn't he just join ajax?

First of all its good to see Sneijder linked with top sides like AC Milan, shows he has talent and potential, but i don't want him to leave.

Huntelaar had joined Ajax January of this year .. so i expect him to honour his contract (up till 2010) -- be at the club at least at Euro 2008 .. then he will decide his future.

As you said it's great fo rthem, and it's a huge confidence booster, but only time will tell what will happen. I just hope if he had to leave it's not for the premiership.

Huntelaar will prob remain with ajax for a while, to honour his contract, but if he does ever leave he must come to milan. Follow in the footsteps of Van Basten. He is great to watch.

That is a possibility .. the way he plays and what he can become ..

i can see him playing (after winning the Champions League with Ajax and dominating Football in Holland)

either in Italy, Spain, England ... or Germany

Hes 23 now .. Ajax would love to have him until hes 32.. but we all know about modern football

If I where Ajax...sell him. I'll bet Milan sees him as the new Pirlo, but he will never be that good. He should at least stay a few more years in Holland.
