I haven't hyped Bale off the back of scoring 3 against an abysmal Villa team, the same applies to Walcott here.

As the game has progressed it's been increasingly difficult to identify the precise causes of the goals we've conceded. For the first, Santon played Walcott onside; for the second, Simpson's throw-in was awful, our defence had pulled too far to the near side leaving a gap in the centre of the pitch, and Krul went down slowly to attempt the save; for the third, Cisse and Simpson were done down our right, Krul was weak in attempting to get a hand to the ball, and our midfielders - particularly Tiote - hadn't bothered tracking back sufficiently. Since then there's been an even greater litany of mistakes for each goal.

There goes the full-time whistle. Six goals scored in two games away at Manchester United and Arsenal, and no points - though despite the goals our forwards have scored, I think their work-rate is severely lacking, and the only positives have come from the passing performances of some of our midfielders.

We need a new defence. I'd keep Coloccini in the side and drop the rest of them, certainly including Krul, and even including Santon, who has been one of our better players this season overall, but he doesn't link especially well within the side and his performances have dropped recently. Tiote too ought to be dropped and fined wages; on the basis of performances this season, with everyone fit our midfield should comprise Anita, Bigirimana and Marveaux.

At the very least we absolutely must sign a centre-back and a right-back in January.

This isn't just based on 1 game mate.

He's been very good this season.

Mind u, I wasn't even that bothered about him signing a new contract at the start of the season, infact I wanted him sold. But I will be livid now If we don't do all we can to make him stay.

Oh yeah, you'll be having the 2nd largest piece tongue

I still don't think having Walcott as the front man is ideal for us. He has continued improving some of his individual traits this season, such as his composure in front of goal, and he is an excellent finisher most of the time. The balance of the side struggles for the most part though with him leading the line against an organised defence and I don't think today's performance does anything to disabuse me of my opinion regarding this. He can still contribute his individual qualities effectively playing off the right and hopefully will continue to do so for the rest of this season. Credit to him, he is showing more consistency than he has in previous seasons.

Neither do I and I really don't understand why he's so desperate to play there, however there's no denying that he's now a much better and rounded footballer than we are used to seeing.

I wanted him benched for Chamberlain this time last season.....

    Are you fucking serious ?

He did well against Spurs when they played almost the whole game with ten.

He scores a hat-trick v a Newcastle side with James Perch at CB and this should make me eat humble pie ?!

He scored a hat-trick for England then did fuck all for years.

He did score 1 from his 7 shots v Reading mind you and I think that equals henry's best ever ratio in a CL season so I can understand why some have been making comparisons Coffee

Walcott doesn't have the attributes to play CF - if teams defend deep against you he is fucked.

A lot of talk about Fergie last few days - the one thing I love about that c**t is his refusal to allow player power - if ever had a player walk into his office and demand that he play in a different position he would be out and would end up playing for a club like Arsenal.

Wasn't a red for me. Bassong should have been sent off for a shithouse tackle. Nasri didn't actually catch the coward with his head so should have just got a yellow. Benteke did the same thing to Johnson in our match and just got a booking.

Bassongs challenge was nowhere near as bad as De Jongs on Ben Arfa, and City thought that was fine. So fuck em.

The only coward is the lesbian, he's typical of a player that likes to get in players faces on the pitch but you know he wouldn't try anything with Bassong off it. He has pussy written all over him.

Despite Spurs/Levy/Villas-Boas taking so much stick this season, I honestly don't care much for what's happening at QPR. *smug*

However, I do find it weird that the anointed one thought it would be a good idea to publicly call those players overpaid and overrated.

We all know Hughes made some horrible signings, but Redknapp saying those things makes it hard for those under-performing/plain gash players to be got rid of next month, especially considering he was talking about the wage bill being far too high.

He'll almost certainly want his own recruits - certainly ones with experience who won't be cheap so it could backfire.

    Tottenham fans Rolling Eyes

weren't they saying this week that Lloris is the best keeper in the league? A keeper who has started less than half their games, and looked a joke in more than half of them.
