I'm just loitering in the background Glenn, nice that you're thinking of me though. Man City are crud.

Clearly you've not followed Villa this season. Don't think we've come back from behind once. Expect us to play okay for about first 5 minutes of 2nd half then concede a 2nd for game over.
Sorry you were right. Still you guys looked alright, maybe just lack the little bit of quality to break down such an organised team like City but really if it was not for Clark f*cking it up big time you could have snuck a point. Playing like this you can definitely beat Reading, QPR, and Liverpool in your next three fixtures. Thought Benteke had a decent pentalty shout as well.

yeah it was a decent performance. were putting the pressure on well at the end and pen could certainly have been given (also harsh that foul call on Gabby when he turned Zabaleta - that was as much/little a foul as Dzeko on Clark for their goal).
But 2 decent performances vs Arsenal & City = 0 points. absolutely have to get the points vs Reading and QPR.

they were my nearest big club (well, unless you count Wolves, which no-one sane would) and my dad sometimes got tickets from his work so I used to go a bit as a kid & started supporting them.
Of course, they were actually pretty good at this time (early 90s, Big Ron, etc) so maybe I was a gloryhunter But definitely proved to be a failed one in the 20 years of misery that has followed!

Re: Premier League 2/3/4 March 2013
Historically, I believe Villa are the 4th most successful club in England in terms of trophies won.
So according to Feylogic, Villa being crap for the last 20 years is the only reason teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle and Spurs have had any kind of success

1650 MISSED PENALTY FOR NORWICH Norwich 0-0 Southampton Grant Holt steps up for Norwich but his penalty is saved.
1649 PENALTY FOR NORWICH Norwich 0-0 Southampton Referee Mark Clattenbug is surrounded by desperate Southampton players as he points to the spot in injury time. Luke Shaw is very harshly penalised after Grant Holt tumbles under a non-existent challenge.
Bit of justice there by the sounds of things.

Pardew has to go at the end of the season, things are looking alot better for us but we're still behind Sunderland, one of the worst teams the league has seen. Today they had a bench of 1 keeper, 5 defenders, and that Vaughn thing.

If Pardew goes you might stop signing French players and get Englishmen again!

If Pardew was in charge of transfers we probably would be buying Englishmen.

Do you have a sporting director? I thought Pardew was the one who loved the French.

Signing Englishmen didn't harm QPR today.
Townsend and Jenas scoting two blinders.
There are two types of Englishmen.
Englishmen and Spurs Englishmen. The latter being fucking awesome

I think our head scout, Alan Carr's dad, identifies the players and Pardew is probably asked for his opinion, I doubt he has much say in the matter though. If we changed manager I doubt our transfer policy would change much.

ah didn't see that. draw's alright for us I think. looking at table anyone up to Fulham could still get dragged in to relegation battle. I'm wondering if someone like Norwich or West Ham will collapse.
we got QPR next week. need to win obviously - not least to stop this QPR revival.

Re: Premier League 2/3/4 March 2013
Big game for us today, not because I think 4th is still likely but because we owe Spurs one. We were really unlucky to lose at WHL this season; we started poorly but had the better of the game for a good 60 minutes. I also think it would be a big statement to win and say we can compete next season with the likes of Spurs if we keep on improving the squad. And finally it would move us level with Everton, 2 behind Arsenal and 7 behind Chelsea. All those teams would have a game in hand but it would put a bit of pressure on them anyway.
