With only a couple of games left analyse your team's performance this season and your targets for the summer.

What was your minimum requirement going into the season?

Top 6 and good cup runs.

Has your team made progress this season?

Very hard to say. We'll finish a league position higher than last season, so on that note, yes. I'm disappointed we've finished behind Everton again when we've spent far more money but Everton have had far greater consistency over the last five years. I think we've improved as the season has gone on but have suffered set backs a lot of times. Not having anyone but Suarez up front for half the season was always going to be difficult but our defending has let us down. As I've said before, I feel more confident at the end of this season than at the end of last season - we're looking more of a team and we have a good solid base for the future.

The cups were a bit of a disaster so I'm definitely expecting us to do better next season in them, especially with no Europa League.

Who has been your best player?

    Suarez.

Who has been your most improved player?

Henderson or Downing. In the latter case it wasn't really hard to do so.

Which player has disappointed you the most?

Reina or Skrtel. Both had ridiculous drops in form to the point where I wouldn't mind selling them both.

Who has been your signing of the season (summer and January)?

Coutinho without a doubt. Smallish fee, young, great on the ball and has an unbelievable eye for a pass. I think Sturridge was a really good buy but can see this kid being a Mata or Oscar type player for us.

    And your biggest flop buy?

Has to be Borini really. It's harsh as he's been injured but I'm just not sure he was worth £12 million.

Assaidi is another shout - played about 4 times. Not sure what went wrong there.

What is the main area you need to strengthen in the summer and what players would you like to sign (realistically)?

    Defence.

We need 2 centre backs and a full back and a keeper.

I'd like us to sign Lescott; City don't play him and he's a good quality Premier League defender.

A midfielder would also be nice but can't think of any we could realistically buy.

What has been your favourite match of your season?

Not many stand outs this year. Will have to say the 6-0 thrashing of Newcastle. Everything seemed to go right and annoy Kimmy.

What is your minimum requirement for next season?

A realistic challenge for top 5 and at least semi finals of one of the domestic cups.

Keep Suarez and get a few good quality defenders in and I think that's possible. Anything less wouldn't be good enough quite frankly.

    Finally, grade your season.

    C

Can do much better but positive signs there for a manager's first season in charge.

Our season is an F anyway, and if we get relegated it would be the most spectacular failure i've ever seen.

What was your minimum requirement going into the season?

    Top 4, hopefully a trophy.

Has your team made progress this season?

Not particularly. We would've done the bare minimum required. Considering our wage bill, money in cash reserves and the fact we're the fifth most valuable club in world football, we really should be doing a lot better. Cups were awful. CL first leg was a debacle but considering what Bayern have done since, our efforts against them, especially second leg are commendable. Going out to B'burn and Bradford was a disgrace and Wenger could be sacked for that alone. IF we make CL, there are no excuses this summer for a big spending spree. Four/five top class players and a proper defensive shape will see us in with a shout for major honours next season.

Who has been your best player?

    Cazorla

Who has been your most improved player?

    Gibbs/Jenkinson.

Which player has disappointed you the most?

Vermaelen/Szczesny - they were both overrated anyway but they have definitely dropped a level.
Poldi - never rated him but he's been worse than I envisaged.

Gervinho hasn't disappointed me because he's shit.

Who has been your signing of the season (summer and January)?

    Cazorla. Giroud's been ok.

    And your biggest flop buy?

I wouldn't exactly say Poldi has flopped. My expectations of him weren't that high.

What is the main area you need to strengthen in the summer and what players would you like to sign (realistically)?

    GK - Adler

    CB - Sakho/N'Koulou

    DM - Capoue/Gonalons/Strootman

    AM - Belhanda/Jovetic

    FW - Jovetic/Bony/Benteke

What has been your favourite match of your season?

    Spurs 5-2

0-2 Liverpool - very disciplined performance. Thought that we may have turned a corner, obviously wrong.

What is your minimum requirement for next season?

With all the commercial deals, money floating in and the fact we shouldn't lose anyone significant this summer, I want a title challenge and a domestic trophy, that's a realistic sign of progress

    Finally, grade your season.

    Winning the league

Has your team made progress this season?
Aye, after a year in which we lost the league in the last second of the game, it was important that we would retain our status as top dog. Which we did, the football wasnt always as good as it should be, but much more consistent then last year at least.

    @Ray, I'll put in my tuppenceworth after the end of the season but re. your comments;

    1) What did you expect from Poldi exactly? For a player coming into a new league, played out of position, not regularly starting and invariably subbed, I don't think a return of 14 goals - Giroud has 17 - is too shabby. He's also been carrying an injury for the best part of the second half of the season.

    2) For disappointing performers, I'd add Sagna.

What was your minimum requirement going into the season?

    Top 4

Has your team made progress this season?

Without doubt, good football, lots of goals, still some undeserved results. Could have been top 4 if Allen and Sahin had worked out as planned but midfield was too average without them succeeding.

Who has been your best player?

Suarez, closely followed by Johnson and Gerrard

Who has been your most improved player?

Enrique, although that is more recovery of form

Which player has disappointed you the most?

    Lucas and Allen

Who has been your signing of the season (summer and January)?

    Coutinho

    And your biggest flop buy?

    Sahin and Allen

What is the main area you need to strengthen in the summer and what players would you like to sign (realistically)?

Centre midfield - any Xabi Alonso clones out there ?

We can trust Coates, Kelly and Wisdom to be back up centre backs

What has been your favourite match of your season?

Didn't watch too many. Thrashing Newcastle was good fun.

What is your minimum requirement for next season?

Top 4 - enough of this mid table nonsense. The team isn't far off.

    Finally, grade your season.

    C - Average and forgetable

Oh yes that was January rather than the summer. I said top 7 that season so I wasn't anticipating europa league football this season, in those circumstances it's not unreasonable to expect a challenge, like Everton have this season.

Clearly though huge issues have surfaced at the club, last season was probably as much Chris Hughton's achievement as it was Pardew's. The teams strength was in it's work ethic and defensive organisation, Hughton laid those foundations. Pardew made his mark on the team this season though. <Ale>
