You brought a little canvas stool into the transfer rumours thread and sat there all summer complaining that the media were underrating you, that Cisse was going to be top goalscorer, Santon was better than Enrique, waving your dick around about all these up and coming European starlets you were being linked with. Then at the end of the transfer window when you'd signed no one, you deflated like Saints' blow-up girlfriend.

Re: Season Review
What was your minimum requirement going into the season?
Top 6 + Good run in Europa League
Has your team made progress this season?
Gareth Bale has. First team wise, I think we are in pretty much the same position than last season. Squad wise however, we're weaker.
Losing Sandro and Kaboul was huge.
The (lack of) form of Adebayor and Parker VS last season has hurt us massively.
Dempsey, Siggy and Holtby have all yet to prove they can integrate into the first team seamlessly (unlike VDV / Kranjcar last year)
Bale's form has covered lots of the cracks
Who has been your best player?
............err......
Who has been your most improved player?
Sigurddson
Which player has disappointed you the most?
Defoe and Adebayor.
Who has been your signing of the season (summer and January)?
Dembele or Vertonghen. Impossible to say which, both have been fucking fabulous. Lloris pretty decent too.
And your biggest flop buy?
Not a fan of dempsey, despite some crucial goals. Hasn't been awful, but barely a top 6 player.
What is the main area you need to strengthen in the summer and what players would you like to sign (realistically)?
Right wing cover. Creativity in the centre. A striker
What has been your favourite match of your season?
Man City home 3-1
United away 3-2
Arsenal home 2-1
In that order
What is your minimum requirement for next season?
If Bale stays, Top 4
Finally, grade your season.
So far, B. Could be an A if a top 4.

Santon is a league above Enrique technically, his weakness is brain farts.
Anyway, all Liverpool fans were saying Lucas is the best DM in the league and Skrtel/Agger is the best CB pairing in the league. We can all stick our hand in the toilet and find a shit to throw at eachother.

Re: Season Review
With only a couple of games left analyse your team's performance this season and your targets for the summer.
What was your minimum requirement going into the season?
Top 6 and good cup runs.
Has your team made progress this season?
The attack has improved, the defence has declined. Steven Gerrard is a year closer to the grave and Jamie Carrasgher is retiring. It's difficult to compeltely judge the team because most of the season has been overshadowed by Luis Suarez. The team doesn't look as lost without him as could have been expected.
Who has been your best player?
Suarez.
Who has been your most improved player?
Henderson or Downing. In the latter case it wasn't really hard to do so.
Which player has disappointed you the most?
Lucas
Who has been your signing of the season (summer and January)?
Coutinho
And your biggest flop buy?
Assaidi. Talented but absolutely no end product, very frustrating.
What is the main area you need to strengthen in the summer and what players would you like to sign (realistically)?
Defence.
Replacing Carragher is probably impossible, Kelly has potential but he'll also have a lot of expectation. We have numbers, I think it's more down to coaching and systems than personnel.
What has been your favourite match of your season?
Zenit at home. Even though we went out on away goals it was a fun game.
What is your minimum requirement for next season?
6th
Finally, grade your season.

Re: Season Review
What was your minimum requirement going into the season?
Playoffs
Has your team made progress this season?
No. Massive step backwards. Great start, completely fell apart in January, to an extent ive never seen before. Mowbray lost it, had no ideas, lost the players IMO and certainly lost a lot of the fans. To think we were genuine contenders for AT LEAST 2nd place by December...we finished 16th! That is a disgrace.
Now..he punched above his weight to begin with, in fairness to him..and I did say to people then, this isn't a true position looking at our squad..but I thought 6th was very plausible.
Who has been your best player?
Probably McDonald. Jutkiewicz maybe would've got in had he played more..don't if his lack of games was down to mostly injury or Mowbray being a fool.
Who has been your most improved player?
Mcdonald.
Which player has disappointed you the most?
Emnes has been absolutely abysmal. But close calls really..there's been a few. Mceachran has been distinctly average, any ideas that lad has about playing for Chelsea should be long gone, he hasnt a hope in hell with their squad. Also Rhys Williams, but that may be because he's been shuffled about constantly. I think CM will be his best position, but he's not proven he's good enough for the Premiership still IMO.
Who has been your signing of the season (summer and January)?
George Friend by a country mile.
And your biggest flop buy?
Mceachren
What is the main area you need to strengthen in the summer and what players would you like to sign (realistically)?
Right back, striker, centre back probably..could do with some actual flair through the middle, someone who can pick a pass and actually play it..
What has been your favourite match of your season?
Blackburn away, early on. We tore them apart, we looked fantastic, I thought we were on for a great season.
What is your minimum requirement for next season?
Has to be playoffs again. If he's not on course for that by November, I think he'll be facing the sack.
Finally, grade your season.

Ok Lord Glenison. You're holding me accountable but from what you've said I haven't really said anything unreasonable. As for the Cisse point, he has been hung out to dry by our tactics, he's not a targetman he's not a bad player, and he's also not a great player scoring worldies every week anymore. He obviously has his flaws but I don't want to judge him too harshly when he is one of the ones that is being held back the most.

Re: Season Review
What was your minimum requirement going into the season?
Survival, improved performances from last season.
Has your team made progress this season?
In the 2nd half of season, yes. Essentially changed the entire team (Agbonlahor is basically the only player in the first team now who was also regular in first team last year). That is a huge upheaval in short space of time.
Now have a young team with a year's experience and who've shown they could get results when it mattered at the end of the season. And for the first time in 4 years we're going to have the same manager at the start of next season as ended this one. So in terms of points gained, we made v.little progress, but have hopefully set some foundations for long-term.
Who has been your best player?
Benteke's goals were vital. Guzan also impressed, with honourable mentions to Lowton, Westwood and Weimann as three youngsters who've definitely earned their place in team.
Who has been your most improved player?
Nearly everyone is new! Delph has stepped up in 2nd half of season.
Which player has disappointed you the most?
Ireland failed his last chance, he'll be gone in summer I imagine. Also was hoping Bannan would full establish self this season, but now I'm not sure he's going to make it at Villa.
Who has been your signing of the season (summer and January)?
Benteke. Again honourable mentions to Westwood & Lowton, and the decision to re-sign Guzan. Sylla looks promising too.
And your biggest flop buy?
Holman offered little, but he was a McLeish signing. El Ahmadi also failed to establish self, and I'm still unsure about Bennett, though he improved toward the end.
What is the main area you need to strengthen in the summer and what players would you like to sign (realistically)?
Defence - a CB to replace Dunne, competition for Bennett at LB. Lambert seems to have good eye for signings, mostly, but no idea who he'll go for because he tends to go for lower league and smaller European leagues. Happily the MON days of signing mediocre players on huge wages 'cause they have PL experience seems to be over. A couple more Bentekes would be nice
What has been your favourite match of your season?
Sunderland 6-1 - SIX GOALS
Stoke (a) 1-3 - Lowton wonderstrike
Liverpool (a) 1-3 - always nice to beat Liverpool
What is your minimum requirement for next season?
Stay out of any relegation battle. Continue to improve.
Finally, grade your season.
C. Too close for comfort to relegation, but has ended positively and I am far happier this season than at the end of last when we were on downward spiral with Scotty McGinger.

Re: Season Review
What was your minimum requirement going into the season?
After 2011/2012 fiasco, where I hoped for serious push for Champions League qualification, this time I didnt have any big expectations. Top 8 place and hoping that maybe this time we will be able to finally win something under Moyes was probably the limit.
Has your team made progress this season?
Only progress we made was regarding individual players - Moyes of course was still scared to put Coleman as RB, but Hibbert injury, Neville legs being finally gone even in Moyes eyes plus Heitinga disappointing form (which made impossible switching Jagielka to RB) made him impossible to play any other scenarios. And guess what - Coleman did very well and we now have quality right back for next few years, too bad now I have to read pro-United journalists praising Moyes for giving youth a chance, which is a bs mostly. Other positive things are late development of Anichebe, or Mirallas adjusting to Premier League, bar injuries.
But of course we got smoked by Wigan in FA CUP when we actually had a chance to go to Wembley. And with top teams struggling we had a realistic chance to get CL qualification, but unability to win a games against weaker teams made it impossible. For example we dropped 5 points against Norwich despite dominating both times.
Who has been your best player?
Baines and Osman in 1st part of the season, but since February both looked quite tired, which is no surprise as Moyes doesn't know anything about rotation. But thankfully players like Jagielka, Coleman and Mirallas later stepped up. Distin was probably the most consistent during the season, but he is a freak of nature, so it's not a surprise.
Who has been your most improved player?
Coleman or Anichebe.
Which player has disappointed you the most?
Jelavic lack of goals was a big problem for us. Many fans turned on Heitinga, but I don't blame him - previous 2 seasons he was playhing very well alongside Distin when Jagielka was injured, but as Moyes have his favourites he was automatically dropped when Jagielka was back. Jagielka was very good last couple of months, but he should have to win his spot and not get it back by default. Same goes for Howard when Mucha was replacing him well.
Who has been your signing of the season (summer and January)?
I think we paid around 6m pounds for Mirallas, so it has to be gonsidered a good one.
And your biggest flop buy?
As we were strapped for cash as usual our biggest flop consists Bossman player - Steven Naismith is another proof of huge difference between Premier League and Scottish football. But biggest flop has to be considered unability of brining additional CM player - somebody like Leroy Fer would really help us in CL push.
What is the main area you need to strengthen in the summer and what players would you like to sign (realistically)?
We have to hope Kenwright won't be Kenwrong and will pick a decent coach. Somebody like Pochettino ver 2.0 would make me reasonably happy, but have a feeling we will finish with somebody much less exciting.
Distin really is aging slowly, but one day it will hit him, so we have to find a proper LCB. And give Duffy a chance as well, as he showed some promise to do well in the past.
I would also like us to finally solve our right midfield issue - somebody like Valencia from United or Scott Sinclair would seriously strenthen our side. It would also allow to push Mirallas into CAM/striker spot, have a feeling he would be really productive playing alongside Anichebe.
I think we will sell Fellaini - if for money we get for him we would be able to bring starting LCB, athletic CM to play alongside Gibson and pacy RM I would consider this a good summer.
What has been your favourite match of your season?
Beating United 1:0 at Goodison Park was fun.
What is your minimum requirement for next season?
With Moyes gone I will be happy with avoiding catastrophy, as he really had a huge influence on how club was working. In polls among Premier League fans Everton was getting a lot of votes for being well run club, which was mostly thanks to Moyes work. With him gone everything can happen, there were teams with quality players struggling to stay in Premier League before, so you never know.
Finally, grade your season.

Re: Season Review
What was your minimum requirement going into the season?
Playoffs.
Has your team made progress this season?
Yes, quite a bit - Dyche did well to keep them up last season and, ironically, we could have been relegated in any of the previous 3 seasons without clever use of the loan system
Who has been your best player?
Tough one - Almunia has been brilliant, as have Deeney, Vydra and Chalobah but I would probably go for Almen Abdi with 12 league goals and numerous fantastic passes from "midfield".
He was asked how he once scored "20 goals from midfield" in Switzerland but corrected the interviewer by pointing out that he played "number 10" - the man is too modest and if Nolan and Lampard have been described as midfielders then why not Abdi !
Who has been your most improved player?
Has to be Deeney with 20 league goals and great hold up play.
Which player has disappointed you the most?
Neuton is clearly an excellent footballer, with a smashing left foot but he can't defend - at the start of the season our opponents only had to hit a high ball into the box and a goal would inevitably follow. This improved as the players started to gel but it was impossible not to notice that it improved when the Brazilian was out of the side.
Who has been your signing of the season (summer and January)?
Almunia or Forestieri (the only loanee so far to make his move permanent) - I'll probably go for the latter as he has so much potential. Great skills but quite impressive end product too bearing in mind how he often couldn't start due to form of Deeney and Vydra.
And your biggest flop buy?
We don't buy
Worst signing - Beleck, Mjangi Bia, Fanchone (all hardly played)
What is the main area you need to strengthen in the summer and what players would you like to sign (realistically)?
A tall CB, one more CB/RB if Cassetti goes, a left WB, a Chalobah replacement (tall order) + another CM and big CF who would be an upgrade on Geijo.
Matias Ranegie (CF), Ighalo (CF) and Daniele Mori (CB) have all been linked.
What has been your favourite match of your season?
Leicester at home in the 2nd leg of playoff semi - spectacular volley from Vydra from wonderfukl Cassetti assist in 1st half, followed by fantastic 2nd half performance, followed briefly by heartache, followed by the greatest moment I've ever had as a football fan.
What is your minimum requirement for next season?
Promotion.
Would like to do it without visiting that ridiculously overpriced shithole, accompanied by 20,000+ extra "Watford fans".
Reading will be a massive threat but we won't have that gelling period (so much) and I don't see why we can't challenge for the title.
Finally, grade your season.
Great entertainment, ultimately dissapointing but I would go through Leeds at home and Palace at Wembley all over again for another Deeney v Leicester - the greatest moment in the history of World Football
