Ok so it's not la liga de las estrellas any more but still.

FT Real Sociedad 2-0 Getafe
FT Valladolid 1-2 Athletic
FT Valencia 1-0 Malaga

Good start for Valverde. Muniain scored the winner so hopefully we'll see him back at his best this year.

Seferovic looked good all preseason and scores for la Real in the first round of official competition.

Valencia win thanks to a big mistake from Willy Caballero.

Real Madrid and Barcelona open up tomorrow against Betis and Levante respectively.

I am in favour of a more competitive league, the state of it now is unacceptable. What does My being a Real Madrid fan have to do with that.

Fair enough, i thought you were complaining because Barca are winning.

Yep! La Liga is almost like the SPL.  

This isnt 2008 Puro. La Liga is in decline big time (no one has any money except Barca and Madrid) and i dont think many people outside of you will disagree with this.

Whilst it's no secret the top two are miles ahead, Chelsea easily could have dished out a similar scoreline to Hull today, Man United won 1-4 at a club that are in Europe and are tipped to finish 7th or 8th. The top clubs in England are way ahead of the rest too.

The difference is that every other club in England has money to spend (except Arsenal )

FFS Palace and Cardiff have spent a small fortune. Look at that compared to the 18 other clubs in Spain.

La Liga does not need the money the EPL needs to be successful.

La Liga has strong CANTERAS ready with youngsters to take the place of the stars who moved to the EPL to make THAT league appealing (we all know if it weren't for the foreigners, the EPL is just the Swedish/Danish league) and strong.

Furthermore, La Liga gets South American help to strengthen their teams.

What I'm saying to you all boneheads is that La Liga doesn't rebuild, they RE-LOAD!

La Liga won the last decade by having SIX CL finalists (FOUR winners) and FIVE E.L. finalists (THREE winners)

But your Anglo media lied to you all by saying they had "the best league in the world" in the noughties. I don't know how them imbeciles define best, but when their beloved EPL finished a clear second to La Liga: ONLY two CL winners and SIX losers (guess who they were losing to in the final), and only ONE E.L. winner and TWO losing finalists.

Carvajal looks crappy, leverkusen never played a high line, they were a typical counter team, especially against the big teams, they defended well and waited for there chance

madrid is always attacking, always high line, here you will see his limitations, we will have to wait and see if he has the intelligence to become a great defensive fullback

khedira is injured

lets hope this was the situation which ended his starting 11 history for madrid

other players will hopefully keep him out

That may be true or not but he's still better than Arbeloa.

I don't really like to be happy when any player gets injured but.....
