The Next England Squad

This Januzaj business is really confusing. He has been turning down Belgium, probably for the opportunity to play for... England? And to qualify for England he will have to wait another 3 years. He could be going to the world cup in the summer, with a better team, that is actually HIS country, and they have a chance of winning it. The only reason I can think of to pick England is that it makes you more marketable, but surely he isn't that much of a twat?

Well using the reasoning of some on this forum, his actually nationality is Kosovan/Bosnian so he should play one of those 2 nations.

Thats where the screw up is...............Countries should cut the BS.... On a serious Note Our Football sucks because the fans do not care enough to change it. Middle the road football.............Now throw in some belief that change is possible through the fans eyes it could open up the media and create more positive waves rather than unfounded hype stories.

he can't play for England, he will have had to gone to school here to be eligible (not FIFA rules, Home Nation Rules before some of you spazz out)

I don't think the fans are to blame, except for the fact that they continue to support the crap the FA is feeding them, at ridiculous prices that is. They pay a ton of money and show up in great numbers every time England plays, just to be disappointed and let down by their players and more importantly the people in charge of the national game. So I really wouldn't say that they don't care, they're rather disenchanted.

Fair enough. I put it down to what people accept and put up with. Was brought up to never complain accept the status quo. It may have changed a little not enough to kick the old ways up the backside and expect more from those around them.
If you do not like something you speak up and say something. Over here it is easy to see this with folks that come from other countries. The new Brits here have the very same manor My german buddies here will speak up right away and will send stuff back right away as little as a not to perfect cup of coffee.. 

Now you take that very attitude and multiply through sports, industry, anything and there is a repercussion.................. ................................Now I know I'm getting old.

Anyone else heard Joseph of Barton speak lately about English football?

Perhaps living abroad for a while made him see the reality?

Among many things he said that "England are shit!", "we've never had great players, they win trophies because they play with great foreigners", "we have mediocre players being coached by great foreign managers, look at Lampard, Terry, Gerrard, they look good when they are coached by Mourinho and Rafa, but what happens when they are coached by English managers?".

I sincerely hope that you get to Brasil 2014 because a World Cup just wouldn't feel the same without the usual bullshit hype, early plans for "World Cup Victory Parades" only to see them getting knocked out at the first real challenge, followed by the inevitable head scratching from Jamie Redknapp, Shearer et al. on where it all went wrong? I like the inner soul searching that follows afterwards. The debate after debate on every radio station and newspaper about "grassroots" and "where did it all go wrong?" and "What are the Germans doing that we're not?"

I expected us to not make it once the refs were revealed. EMP can vouch for me, "we are gonna get robbed in our own stadium!" I told him!

In retrospect, it is a good thing we didn't qualify. It would've been an undeserved prize to the corrupt fuckos who killed our football with their sheer incompetence. Uruguay are deserved participants - paid off ref helping them against us or not. TFS!

Let's not pretend it was just referees, I've seen the table: you got just 1 point from 7 matches away from home. that's a huge failure for a team who came 3rd in the last Copa America.
