Stuttgart go out to HNK Rijeka. Can't be good for the coefficient.

but every league lost one team, only la liga and epl with the full line up in the next round
and the most important thing is to keep the third place (we have to look at france, italy and portugal )
buli against epl, it`s not fair (city, tottenham, chelsea buy whoever they want), united and arsenal could aswell
for example schalke has only money for loan deals, leverkusen can only reinvest there transfer income

APOEL Nikosia is the lucky loser.
Frankfurt and Freiburg will be relieved that it wasn't Stuttgart, cause they get more money now :-)

Look at that bench. That's a CL team strength bench. I dare anyone to claim otherwise

your bench is awesome. Your first choice left-back is Danny Rose.

Danny Rose has improved enormously in the 5 or 6 games he's played this year. Second best player against Narwich after the Godly Eriksen (already better than Messi). There are some stats out there that confirm this. Somewhere.will.i.glenn wrote:your bench is awesome. Your first choice left-back is Danny Rose.

I'm actually rather glad we're keeping faith with him as well as the likes of Naughton, Walker and Townsend - all are still raw but represent a solid young English spine to the team amongst the hotpotch of nationalities that make up the United Colors of Tottsperm.

Also forgot that Esbjerg is ahead against Standard Liege away!
Looks like it will be a good Europa League round for the Danish teams. We definitely need the points to keep our direct Cl place

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
2-1 in 4th minute of extra time by Bakenga for Esbjerg
They were battered for much of the second half and they steal in the end on a counter
Swansea win 3-0 away in their first ever European match
They should build a statue for Laudrup soon
FUCKING PROGRESS

Swansea
Expecting we'll probably play this one methodically just to get the job done, given we have Cardiff away on Sunday and then Villa away on Tuesday - 3 games in 6 days so a decent performance tonight without any injuries would be the utopian result.

none of those players can be considered the spine of the team dear. Unless you want your team to have scoliosis.Isco Benny wrote:Danny Rose has improved enormously in the 5 or 6 games he's played this year. Locate your own spine, and consider which part of the team this might relate to
Anyway, I'm getting myself prepared for the Spurs game
and I recommend everyone do the same, if they don't want to be drenched in TWERP and Black TWERP's jizz every time Lamela goes near the ball

Young - as in a potential future - spine. Sorry darling was rushed and didn't include the obvious caveat to appease the beady eyed amongst you.will.i.glenn wrote:none of those players can be considered the spine of the team dear. Shouldn't we be collectively rejoicing that at least some English players are getting European experience? Or are the scars from the Liverpool V Spurs hashtag banterzone from the summer too deep?

Re: 2013/14 UEFA Europa League
when people talk about the spine of the team, do you think they're talking about:
A) The goalkeeper/centre backs/central midfielders/striker
B) The fullbacks/wingers
Think carefully, this is not a trick question. I wasn't rubbishing the potential of these players.

does Lamela get a new sqaud number every game?
is he really that good?
I'm sure against Arsenal he wore #31
Then against Norwich #11
and tonight #33
what a country
