Amazing that the coach didn't go with the stereotype even if Kiessling missed in the end.

Kiessling's been in miserable form all year, rock-bottom confidence, and missed a penalty earlier this season... If Bender made it to the end he would have converted no problem.
A hard-fought game, very unlike the Leverkusen of recent years, so they deserve credit for that.... still hurts though.

If you think La Liga is dominating in the CL now then just wait for next year, this new Valencia team are going to take some stopping.

Yes, Valencia are beginning to look like the Valencia who reached the CL Final twice. This season they're La Liga's third best team behind Barcelona and Real Madrid and slightly ahead of Atlético.
La Liga is so strong Sevilla and Villarreal are also capable of competing in CL KO stage.
1. La Liga (by far!)
2. Bundesliga (surpassing the EPL recently)
3. EPL (dropping dramatically)
4. Serie A (rising sensationally)
5. Ligue 1 (steady improvement)
6. Portugal (consistent position)

Re: CL round of 16
schalke and leverkusen improved a lot, considering there HUMILATIONS last year
both teams progressed really well
no german team has become a bitch of other clubs, thats a huge improvement, while the epl teams gets slaughtered from almost every opponent (i mean they were outplayed)
watching leverkusen vs. a.madrid and sevilla vs. gladbach, i didn`t see a difference in quality, well both spanish teams advanced, BUT looking at the age ratio of our german teams, i think both will do quite well in the next years
BUT only IF we are not becoming the EPL bitch with there new TV contract
-----------------
what a game tonight BVB - juve
i am not sure what to expect, juve will do nothing in going forward, they will hide like cowards exactly what they did at home
when bvb fires from all cylinders than they are almost unplayable, will be close, my feeling is not that great though

I enjoyed watching the Leverkusen - Atlético CL tie and it surpassed the hype. Both are ranked 4th in their respective leagues, both have been CL finalists, Leverkusen are playing their best football of the year while Atlético slowed down recently due to injuries. When Moyá got injured I thought IF it goes to PK's, Atlético WILL progress. Only two teams in the world that make the Germans a bit concerned about a PK contest: Czechia and Argentina. Yesterday with Oblak coming in for Moyá I thought that Atlético had a psychological edge in PK's and it came true when Kiessling puked, pissed, and shat himself when he saw the CZECH in goal.
M'gladbach (3rd in Bundesliga) vs. Sevilla (5th in La Liga) was a no contest. I had no doubt that Sevilla were going to advance simply because of their huge experience in Europe, they won both games home and away.
Have you noticed that winning the first leg comfortably on the road makes teams switch off for the return leg at home and makes them sweat it a lot? It's happened in the last few seasons to Bayern (against Arsenal and Manchester City), Real Madrid (against Schalke this season), Monaco (against Arsenal this season), and Barcelona may sweat a bit too against Manchester City. So BIG WARNING for Barcelona! Surely they won't be too confident.

Re: CL round of 16
Very dangerous game for Barcelona because...
1. They won convincingly the first game in Manchester and may have switched off.
2. They are looking ahead to El Clásico this weekend that may decide the title already.
This is the classic "TRAP GAME" and Manchester City have the manager and the players to ambush Barcelona.

Tina Fey!!!
I came!!!
Messi with the close control, ball glued to his foot. Neymar makes a diagonal and drags his marker, while Rakitic runs to the open space created by Neymar and Messi with the VISION sees it all happening and ASSISTS Rakitic whom proceed to do a VASELINA on Hart. WOW! Orgasmic!!!

Good goal Rakitic, that was some nifty ball control there. Guess this match is over as well. f**k, City have so much money yet they still keep insisting on buying these 2x2 Africans and Brainless Brits. They should know that Aguero and Silva are awesome, but they need 11 of such.

Tina Fey, why are Barça so wasteful? They should be up 4-0 already but Neymar chose to make the extra, extra pass.

Barcelona should've scored about 6. very wasteful in front of goal. not that it matters too much when City don't look anything like scoring.

Cause they are always wasteful. Should have been 4-0 at least. And Nasri should have seen red. Thank god the ref didnt give it though.

I doubt anyone denies that. Ronaldo is more complete though, but Messi is way more talented.
Infact, Ronaldo would not be so greedy if Messi wasnt around in this age.

Still, Barca's wastefullness is a massive letdown. Lets assume it stays like this. then on paper it's 1-2 and 1-0. Thats nothing compared of how dominant Barca are. I think Bayern will kill them.

Barça being so wasteful (they should be winning 8-0 easily) is because every Barça player has his mind on Sunday.

True that. That was Hart's best game ever. He saved three or four goals.
This game was bizarre, Barcelona wins this same match 10-1 (that Agüero PK the lone goal for City) if it weren't for their wastefulness and Hart.
They did have an excuse as they were looking ahead to Sunday and perhaps they saved all the goals for when they really need them.
