In other news, our shirt sponsor has gone out of business, thanks to the Swiss. Hopefully with our current position and our move to the Olympic Stadium, we can get a very good deal. We should stick The Bobby Moore Fund's logo on the front in the meantime.

Villa is usually decent against Pool though. Looking forward to Newcastle vs Southampton.

The Dutchie van Gaal doesn't make sense sometimes. He's basically saying that Falcao must prove himself by scoring goals while being on the bench.

Someone who's been a goalscoring machine at River Plate, Porto, Atlético, Monaco needs not prove anything to anyone. The Dutchie has not given him playing time at all. The little time given and Falcao scores, assists, and/or leaves the pitch to a standing ovation for his good play. There's something else going on...

Perhaps since the Glazers have lost a lot of money recently and the forecast calls for more costly losses, it is self-evident that the club won't be able to pay Falcao's fee.

Jorge Mendes being the astute internuncial can also smell the Glazers' financial plight and thus protects his client - van Gaal is also protecting the image of the club. Everyone's protecting their particular assets and image.

Falcao shall be gone and van Gaal too shall be gone - the Colombian shall land in a big club next season while the Dutchie shall ponder 'where did it all go wrong?' while unemployed.

Well considering Villa only seem to turn up against us that's why I've gone for us dropping points.

Gerrard is out for this one so we'll probably be more fluid and Sterling should be nice and fresh after his holiday but we still have Mignolet in goal which means Benteke should score at least one.

Also brave of Luis to predict that Spurs will keep a clean sheet, especially as Defoe has scored on all his debut appearances.

Falcao has lost his explosiveness, he started 5 matches in a row recently, scored once, saw him play the Tottenham game over Xmas and he looked like he was running through sewage.

A 30 year old with dodgy knees, they are right to avoid to avoid his massive fee and wages. It was a gluttonous signing to begin with anyway.

Didn't think Lallana would be back so soon which is a great bonus. Ibe back from his loan could be handy.

    Balotelli is 'ill'.

Sturridge/Lallana in for Borini and that's a good looking team (minus Mignolet)
