    First leg 18/8-19/8.

    Astana v APOEL
    BATE v Partizan
    Lazio v Leverkusen
    Manchester Utd v Club Brugge
    Sporting CP v CSKA Moscow
    Rapid Vienna v Shakhtar Donetsk
    Valencia v Monaco
    Skënderbeu v Dinamo Zagreb
    Celtic v Malmö
    Basel v Maccabi Tel Aviv

Seems like Lazio v Leverkusen and Valencia v Monaco are the glamour match ups.

And they are not showing them two matches on BT. Sad A couple of years ago Sky shown Sociedad vs Lyon.

Feels weird to see Lineker on anything but BBC.

Scintillating pundits though - Scholes and Rio Ferdinand. Think Gerrard is signed up as well if they weren't enough.

You become either coach or pundit these days, if you wanna avoid the pressure, go become a pundit.

I honestly think it's just producers wanting to hang out with their favourite players, so they spunk all their budget on them, then the likes of Danny Mills and Kevin Kilbane sneak in and eat the crumbs off the floor.

Being a pundit is not a real thing IMO, especially the ex-footballers have 9 out of 10 times nothing interesting to say.

    Valencia win 3-1 against Monaco

Not sure Valencia even deserved a victory here. Monaco created chances and were quite dangerous while Valencia looked very sloppy at times with Parejo giving many balls away. It was incredibly obvious that Valencia weren't able to cope with their lack of fitness compared to Monaco who had several competitive games under their belt already. In this light it is fantastic result for them. Monaco's forward Anthony Martial looks really promising and a very all round type. He is only 19 years old so one to look out for.

I liked Martial a lot against Arsenal in the CL last year. Already then he looked quite promising. Funnily, Valencia were trying to negotiate his transfer at halftime (apparently...) Laughing

Impressed with Martial as well. Matthew Ryan looked solid in Valencia goal as well, never watched him before.

Don't give Monaco too much chances to overcome 2 goals deficit, they are quite struggling when they have to do something else than counter attack.

I watched us (Valencia) play in a little bar in Nice. We didn't deserve to win but I don't give a shit. We are lucky their best player Moutinho is injured.
