England reach World Cup finals

The England women's team booked their place to the WC finals in China with a draw in the final game away to the highly ranked French team. England were leading 1-0 with three minutes of normal time to go when a French equaliser lead to a nervous last six minutes. The French goal was only the second the England team had conceeded in the tourrnament.

They're ranked fifth in the world The very successful qualifying campaign has been a sign of progression for the England team.

The Germans, Sweden, China, Norway and USA will all be there and will be strong. Qualifying isn't completed yet (well the tables haven't been updated yet).

I read the match report on the Beeb and it sounded like an extremely shit game. Even worse than ours. Looks like England played with ten "men" behind the ball and scored through a fluky own goal.

Anyway you can watch women's football if you like, I won't however.

That's not true at all, England pressed hard for an early goal but the French gradually pressed England back. The og was the result of pressure by the forward on the defender at a corner. The French goal was scored from a misplaced cross Happy for you not to watch but if people aren't interested (I don't mean you) why don't they ignore the post instead of replying with ignorant remarks?

I know very well what he is. He's an anti-English British person. I have said nothing anti-German in this thread. Stop making things up. I have pointed out that they are good at the women's game and I referred to Germany's forward thinking attitude to the women's game. What is wrong with that or is it paranoid and anti-German to describe Germany as forward thinking?

Doesn't wash I'm afraid. It's double standards plain and simple. You haven't answered my question about what is wrong with describing the Germans as a forward thinking nation and saying they have a very good women's football team?

There is nothing wrong with that. What's wrong is your paranoia as far as Germans are concerned. It's almost like you believe that any 'negative' comment directed at you is coming from Germans, hence your posting directed Pierre (read above).

some people are intimidated (no offense people!) by women who are very capable.
