Surely you don't expect us to lose one of our home games against Celta and Fener?

2 years ago you could have walked this group even. But to be honest you're not incapable of winning all games (comfortably).Fey wrote:@DD
I really dont't expect much of it this year. After Basel we play Ajax, so that will be the end of Koeman.
But back to the Uefacup, I think you are underestimating Basel, we played there a few years ago and we took a lucky draw home. THat will be the hardest game imo, the supporters are still pissed about those huge fights back then. So expect some agressive atmosphere. A draw would be great.
Blackburn will be a good game, lovely to see Emerton back. But we should win this game, Btw you know Blackburn has more tv-income then all Dutch teams Together
Wisla, dont know nothing about it, shall be your average East-european team. Lot's of diving, XI men defending.
Nancy looks great this season, lot of young French talents. We will prolly lose that one.
If we had this poule 2 years ago, we would proceed for sure. But now?? We look really bad this year, but every point we can get for Holland would be great.
GROUP C
Sevilla
AZ Alkmaar
Slovan Liberec
Grasshopper
Braga

Surely it should be 2 from each group making it 16 and a round before the quarter finals.

Braga might have a chance against Slovan Liberec and Grasshopper, but i dont believe they can beat Sevilha or AZ. They're too experienced for Braga.
I see it like :
1-Sevilha
2-AZ Alkmaar
3-Braga
4-Grasshopper
5-Slovan Liberec

No way Slovan Liberec are going to finish last in that group. Braga will struggle.

Yeah it is a sad thing, but the mighty has fallen. We have players like Kolkka and Charisteas these days
So alot of us are really pessimistic these days, I mean we cant challenge for the title again....And that for the most populair club in Holland!!! I think we need to change chairman and the whole freckin board, for years of mismanagement.

Oh yes. I remember when we went to Villa and Liverpool and destroyed them so why not?

kimbo has a very relevent point though... to qualify for europe they must have had a good team that year...Samba De Baiano wrote:Honestly Mallorca, Real Sociedad and Racing are the Fulhams of La Liga. I agree with Sepp separate the wheat from the chaff.

to be honest any of those teams could beat newcastle with ease home or away... but i also wouldn't be surprised to see newcastle win...
