The rankings do mean something Tweeds it shows consistency which is important esp in the CL, unlike one hit wonders like Porto, also until Chelsea win the CL they cant be said to be the best in Europe nor than other European giants.

Also yes, Chelsea have the better squad, but give Capello time, Jose has been at the helm for 3 years now.

At least now none can say we have less European Cups than Forest

But past history doeasn't correlate with modern squads - as you say Forest have won the cL

Of course you have to, Team like Real, AC Milan who have been doing for yonks years will obviously be better than other in European success.

As far as im concerned the rankings show the clubs that have consistently been a force in the CL, and that does have value rather being one hit wonders like Porto or 2 in the case of Forest.

Chelsea are yet to make it into a final dont forget, but at this point in time Chelsea may edge it, but RM are a team in transition, under a new manager.

Exactly, Chelsea may be dominating the EPL but in the CL they and Real usually go out in the same rounds, theres not a big difference in the past years, and considering RM have been pants, is that a real accomplishment?

Chelsea are a class team, i for one like Jose Mourinho, but not having reached an Final and saying there better than RM ECL success wise isnt true, although i think Tweeds means more squad wise he may have a point.

Sheva, on the other hand is at the moment struggling to adapt to EPl , also the way Chelsea play he wont get 20+ goals.
