good list, but I think there should be a space for Ronaldinho. Maybe at the cost of Cocu, I am sorry to say. He didn't win anything at all, for starters and it would be difficult to leave anyone else out.

And then maybe only Mauro Silva for maybe Redondo or else Ronaldo, who had one brilliant season with Barça and then some OK spells at RM without the persistence of class Mauro Silva has shown.

True Cocu may have not won much in La Liga .. but that should not rule him out; hes 'work ethic' alone should give him a high place .. top 15, to to 10, maybe?

Ronaldinho has a case though, but should he be top 5?, maybe top 10

The Premiership is only 14 years old .. if we said from 1960 -- the top foreign players in Spain or England -- Spain would win hands down.

But if we said the best foreigners to play in La Liga (since its creation..1929) and the EPL (1992) .. Spain will still win, by not a 'big' margin?? ...

As you say, since 1992 -- the best 'foreigners' from both leagues, will be close; but Spain could edge it..

We need criteria...is it just the most talented players we are looking for? Or do things like longevity, titles, significance to club, etc. need to be taken into consideration. If it is the former, then you can consider someone like Ronaldo or Romario. If it's the latter then you have to think about Mauro Silva, Carboni, and Roberto Carlos (who I still think must be included in the list)

i was thing talent in my list, but all those other criteria's are just as important

Toon, Romario was at the top of my list, and i have 3 Barça players on the list lol

Just for the record, picking someone like Cocu over Mauro Silva is a travesty.

What about Mostovoi?

Mostovoi is a good one...if we were doing top 20, he would be included for sure. If he had played somewhere other than Celta Vigo, more people would talk about him. But he was class.

everyone knows barca have been the better team and has the better players over the last 15 years.

Ps Jose has said Stoichkov is the best player he has ever seen so i think he should be in the top 8

I am only repeating the suggestions made. Besides, since 1991, Barça have won the league 8 times. It is not more than logical that they have the most. If you were to ask me the best player in La Liga in the last 15 years, I have no objections in going on the record as stating it is Raul González.

but has still be crap for 3 years but can't be criticized, while dinho has been below par for 2 months and Kaka> then him.
