You know ronaldo is 21 yet he has 14 goals for his country, and he isnt a striker or second striker, the record is very underated, when you consider scholes scored 14 goals in his whole internation career, and that is pretty good for a midfielder.

I am not disputing his record - 14 is a great record for a player of his age.

I just think that Cristiano Ronaldo has a more of a free role in the side compared to that of Joe Cole. Joe Cole is not really a left midfielder everyone knows this. Jose Mourinho has recently got the best out of Cole as an attacking midfielder behind the main striker. Joe Cole is technically the ebst player we have in this country and he is not deployed properly. Thats the difference between Sven and Scolari one used his players better the other didn't.

Newcastle match is a very good example. Has J.Cole ever dominated a oppostion like that, nearly single-handedly, like Ronaldo? J.Cole, superb player, but can never dominate a team like that...
