At Stamford Bridge with a virtual first team out.

We beat them 3 - 0 at Celtic, with a reserve side plus Brown and Scholes. Devil

    The title is ours. farao

    Ha ha

Chelsea still looked like that overloaded side they were last year. Just a battering ram of star players to me. They don't play fluent or attractive football even with Sheva and Ballack

Chelsea are having a BAD pre-season.

I think they're going to struggle to accommodate all their midfielders this season

It was very strange watching them though they don't seem like a team however much they boast about their team spirit. Have you noticed how much they go on about it?

holy crap. does no1 watch football anymore? Virtually first team? Yeh.. NO! Also we'd only pplayed feyernoord the day before!! 3 games in 4 days. This was all for fitness and getting them back to speed. Seriuosly the things petty fans will do to get one over chelsea.

correct me if Im wrong, but was that not Celtic's second team, playing your 2nd team ?

But Strachan said the biggest lesson from the night was that "their second team is far better than our second team". from BBC.

You also fail to mention that while this is our 3rd friendly, Celtic hae had at least 10 games - including competitive league fixtures.

Also this wasnt our first team, unless José is actually planning on dropping Essien, Ballack and Shevchenko for a whole half of each match.

...that quote was referring to the ManU match.

EDIT: also worth mentioning we totally dominated Celtic, outplayed them everwhere. Lacking sharpness is all.

Shame your shite wen it comes to playing real games. Remind me of the norwich united result? Or the sunderland result wich basically handed us the title.

i reckon chelsea will stuggle this season cos their vast array of central midfielders will get upset and if gallas isnt sold he could disrupt your great team harmony but if he is that would leave with just bridge who does not look great. im also interested to see how scheva does cos i dont think he'll do well and is no one near 30 million. They can still win it but it will be very close and by no means certain.
