Mourinho has taken another swipe at FC Barcelona, despite insisting that Chelsea is practically qualified and that they don't play to kick anybody out..

Everybody knows about Mourinho's petty comments about other managers and opposing players. He is fast becoming the most whining manager in the history of the game.

    Why is this?

Could it be because he, deep down inside, is upset that despite his excellent record as manager he still isn't hailed as the saviour of football? That other teams, like FC Barcelona, Lyon, Arsenal etc, are often hailed as proponents of the beautiful game while his Chelsea is branded a machine?

Mourinho is good at planning for games ahead, so could all his confrontational and petty comments just be a way to draw away attention from his own side, letting his own players work in peace?

Or is he just an idiot..

Or, could it be that Mourinho isn't the jealous one, but yes, the moaning minnies, that always complain when he gives a funny yet honest answer to a journalist.
Could people be jealous of the fact that he led such a "small" team as FCPorto to champions league glory, could they be jealous of 2 EPL titles for a team that had won it's only title 50 years previous, could they be jealous of the fact that, eventually, he will have led at least 2 teams to C/L glory.
Funny, I would have thought that of all teams fans, those with least reason to jealous of Mourinho, would have been Barcelona fans.
Well, it just goes to show what I know.

SLB, I think you misunderstand. Barcelona fans are not jealous of Mourinho. They are just irritated by his comments.

I wouldn't want Mourinho at Barcelona in a million years.. the fact is that everytime we play Chelsea, we have to sit and politely listen to one insult after another.. do our management say that "Chelsea is the death of football", "we have to watch out for Robben's and Drogba's diving, or Terry's handballs", "that this obviousely isn't a level playing field since Chelsea has an infinite budget"..

Why on earth should Mourinho be allowed to insult everybody just because he feels like it?

@Oleguerisnthatbad, read again your first post, I have never read anything so obviously written in a jealous rage.
As for Mourinho's comments, if a reporter asks him, "How do you think Gudjohnsson has improved since he went to Barcelona?", don't you find the answer, "He's learned to dive" funny?
Maybe some Barcelona fans should learn to relax a little, loosen the muscles a bit. Believe me, it'll help you shit before the game.

I don't think he's jealous since he's won the CL himself with a small budget. I think he's just angry that he hasn't been able to win it with Chelsea even though he's had a bottomless pit of money to spend in order to achieve that. His frutration is reflected in his comments.

It's not that what he says is necessarily wrong most of the time. Barca do get dodgy decisions, they do have big divers like Ronaldinho and Deco, Gudjonssen did do a ridiculous dive in the weekend that seemed as if Ronaldinho had taught it to him, and Messi did do a nice bit of theater last year. It's just that for him to say that is very hypocritical given that the likes of Robben and Drogba play in his team, who are among the biggest divers in world football. Some of Drogba's "theater" injury performances would put Messi's to shame.

So Mourinho is not so much a jealous liar, he's more of a pathetic, pissed off hypocrite who doesn't seem to have a life.

It would be funny if it wasn't somebody directly linked with Chelsea.. I find it very poor taste when managers go out and complain about things that haven't even taken place.. He should focus on his own team and game, not comment on things that might happen, or, even worse, put down a former team player.

I still don't understand why Mourinho should be allowed to accuse us of cheating before the game has even been played.. It was Carvalho's foul on Valdés that sent us out two seasons ago, and last year Terry dove in the penalty area to earn a draw.. But Rijkaard isn't/hasn't commented upon that to the press.

Don't be naive, people will not remember the Arsenal of today unless they win a few trophies, however beautiful they play or pretty they look. Chelsea on the other hand are on track to become a legendary team. 4-5 seasons like the last 2, and a CL or two, and they will be a legend.

No one remmebers whether the money did this or whether the football was boring... Real was sponsored by the dictator but that Real is still remembered as on of the best ever teams.

Mourinho V Barca is a journalists dream.

It wouldnt suprise me that comments that are harmless become suddenly spikey due to the slant put on them by journos looking for a story.

Mourinho has a dry sense of humour which often appears to be insulting. I agree with SLB on this - I think the Barca supporters are so desperate to see Mourinho as public enemy number 1 that everything Mourinho says is an "attack" on them when infact he's just being his typically outspoken self. Barca arent the first or last team to fall foul of Mourinho's tongue.

Having said that, perhaps Mourinho enjoys being public enemy number 1. Chelsea employ a siege mentality which he seems to think help them. And who can argue with 2 EPL titles in 2 seasons and a CL semi.

Eitherway, its great entertainment for the neutral, and characters like Mourinho in football make the game a lot more appealing.

Taking into account Porto's antics in the UEFA cup final, aswell as some of Chelsea's theatre, it is pretty funny to hear how hypocritical Mourinho's supposed comments sound... bless him!

There are two teams that Mourinho fears: Liverpool and Barcelona

Jose will talk about how he's more impressed with Arsenal and Manchester United in the EPL, but I'm not buying it. I'm convinced it's Liverpool that causes him nightmares. The same case with Barcelona in Champions League, that's why he always talks shit before Barcelona games. Jose's really concerned about the next match. His worst case scenario may just happen. <Ale>
