    Not yet.
    Domenech called Benzema too.

Benzema and Higuain, both 18 yo, same post (offensive midfielder/forward) and both born in France.

He called Mexès and Evra too.

Domenech seems to play Football Manager 2007...

...typical River Plate player...only go for the money

Well the mother fucker of Higuaín is french after all. I mean the fact that France doesn't accept the double nationality (like Italy or Spain) would force him to resign to French nationality if he wants to play for Argentina. Fat chance. He's not going to loose his EU passport, that's the key for more money than he has ever dreamed of. So fuck him I wouldn't want to have him in my team anyway...just hope he fucks his knee up doesn't get called by France any more and ends up playing in third division of some lost country where football isn't liked....other than that I wish him the best...IF HE CHOOSES TO PLAY FOR FRANCE... Wink ...

if not...then great news for us Very Happy

    ????????? Question Question

It's the opposite mate ! Argentina doesn't accept the double nationality, not France !! That's why he refused first to play for Argentina U21 because he would have lost his french nationality.

In french team there are a lot of players who have the double nationality : Makélélé, Vieira, Boumsong, Benzema,... !!

Well then what I heard was untrue, but it seems bull shit is bullshit everywhere. this side of the Atlantic and your side.. Argentina does accept the double nationality...see La Liga or Serie A is full of Argentines players with EU passports, from Saviola and Messi, to Camoranesi(who even played for Italy), and Crespo Laughing

Yes, me too, I don't know who to believe in this story.

    Are you argentinian Barrilete ?

I can't understand why he don't choose Argentina if it's his dream to play for the albicete..!!
If he's so good like people seems to say, he don't need a EU passport to play for big europeans club !!!

Post by Barrilete Thu Nov 09, 2006 10:35 pm

Yes I'm Argentinian...to tell you the truth I actually would love for the kid to stay and play for us...I mean I see in him a very good replacement for Crespo( Diego Milito at Zaragoza is no more than a good striker despite current form).

Good techinique, he's fast, tall(enough is enough with the shortys) and has the classic in box 9 instinct(being where the ball is going to be so that the only thing that's left is tapping it in).

The deal with the passport would be that by having it clubs would be(I believe they actually are) very interested into an imminent move, and that would suit the best interests...of his and the clubs agents(whom are all blood sucking spenders)

But I honestly don't know why he would choose playing for Les Blues if there's no issue with the French passport...great mystery to me.

Anyway...Marseille...got to watch Francescoli play?...fantastic player ok

Sorry didn't read your whole post.

It feels weird if Higain gets the french nationality and plays for the French team without even knowing a word of French. There's a short video on youtube and the father says he wants him to have the French nationality. Something tells me he 'll chose the Argentinian, because he is Argentinian after all. If he decides to be French it will be a very similar story as Trezeguet who - when he was young spoke French with a huge Spanish accent.
He has called for the freindly game against Greece. If he decides to play for France can he stil change his mind and play again for the argentinian team?

Ok end of the story, Higuain said NO by fax to Les Bleus.
He will play for Argentina, that's 99% sure.

    His decision is totally logical.

After Petit (Portugal), Kanouté (Mali) and Sissoko (an african team), Higuain is another French born player to play abroad. I hope people will stop now saying that France rob players from other countries.

lol...you're right Sheva As and Marca are as serious as Ole...or Lance?

Anyway I can definitely see River Plate selling the player just so early...that's how shit our football is nowadays...whether he is sold to RM or to other club is another thing, I don't see with good eyes Higuain moving to RM, that's not a good move IMO, both for RM (who will be expecting Ronaldo reincarnated(God the hype they get in the old continent is 10 times worse than over here), and the player(who should move to a smaller club first and try the "Spanish experience")

He won't leave until Boca's attempt for the Copa Libertadores 2007, that's for sure, I don't even see him go before even if he tries to force the move form inside...Boca doesn't need the money(you don't know how absolutely rare is that), and although we can't compete with the european salaries, he is very young and has more than 10 years ahead to earn in euros. Boca has been stating that he wouldn't leave before Libertadores 2007 for two years now, so I would be very surprised to see him go before...

Anyway the only reason RM are so interested in him is because of the Redondo comparisons...Fernando the I had a very rough time adapting to Spanish game...some ppl don't seem to remember that he was very irregular both at Tenerife and at his beginnings at RM...not only with with Valdano, but with...Capello!...I feel Fernando the II should try going to a smaller club first
