You have to applaud Watfords philosophy, the fact they are willing to go to any ground and try to play football, however the point about that being niave is a valid one in my opinion, as you will never win a game of football against a team with the quality of Chelsea.

we havent the last 2 weeks....this game has been even...All Boro have done is stop us from playing our usual way of football and then nick a goal with 15 mins to go. They are like a traditional 1995 serie a team

Based on that line-up and sub looks like Fergies plan is to go out and get a early goal(s) then make it difficult for Blackburn to get back into the game.

I guess if one of the strikers go off, one of the midfielders like Scholes, Giggs or Ronaldo have to go up front and Fletcher or O'Shea come on.

We've only played that front 6 twice and won 4-0 and 3-0 but we have done well or been lucky (whichever way you want to look at it), in getting an early goal.

More 'average' sides should adopt Watford's philosophy. A match should be a contest between two sides trying to play football - not one side trying to nullify and 'contain' another side, ala Arsenal vs Everton.

Well with that front 6 it would be highly unlikely you wont score, in Scholes,Giggs,Ronaldo,Rooney and Saha you have players who can make things happen, you only need one moment of magic from one of those players and the opposition face headaches.

we better score early again, i can't see anyone coming off the bench and getting us a goal if its still 0-0 after 75mins.

I can be objective, and i think its fair to say all of those players would get into our current Liverpool first team, ive been a firm critic of Benitez's attacking purchases.

The players already there can be the ones trying to get a goal after 75 minutes. I prefer thrasing teams, but nothing beats those last minute winners Biggrin

Yep, its as predictable as Gerrard's performance ratings after any match he plays in. Even the Sun can't be as bad as to neglect Drogba this time though. Surely.
