All segunda records have been smashed! Even the most optimistic cadista would have said 16,000 was the most they could sell, but to get the full amount available is stunning. They held a campaign where the "cadista bus" visited local towns and people signed up, its fair to say it has been a great success. The only thing I worry about now is getting tickets for a game this season. Just 2,000 available due to the work being carried out on the fondo norte. There is quite simply no other club outside the primera that has any demand for tickets over their capacity! Everything is lined up for a great season. ESE CADI OE!

I should be booking up this weekend. I am quite dissapointed that I am not seeing any big teams. It is likely to be just Espanyol vs Racing and the Cadiz match against Numnacia. With the possibility of Betis vs Mallorca, depending on TV dates.
Watching Barca at the Bernabao in a Barcelona bar should be good though.
I miss Cardiff game back at Carrow raod, which I am a little dissapointed about. But all in all its good.

Yeh, I will post loads of pictures mate. I am going with a couple of mates of mine. One of them is a regular at segunda games involving, Elche, Murcia.. whilst the other has a bit of a limited knowledge of the Spainish league. Thats mainly why we are watching Espanyol, because they want to see the Nou Camp and the city, which I have already seen. If it was up to me we would be watching Villareal vs Levante/Valencia vs Osasuna, alot more attractive fixtures.

Andalusian fans are the best in the whole of Spain. Whereas in England the demographic for fans at matches is 30-50 year olds the majority of Betis, Sevilla and Cadiz fans are 19-30.

Well when Depor was at the top the stadium was packed. Celta hardly ever have the stadium full even when they do well.
On another subject, have you guys seen the state of the grass at Balaidos & Riazor ! Terrible.

Yeh, but Cadiz could easily attract more if they had a bigger stadium. I am not sure what the capacity will be when the fondo norte and Tribuna have been rebuilt, but it should be 25,000+, I bet that cadistas will fill that most games, even in the segunda. Even so, the season ticket sales are a record outside the primera, so alot of Oviedo fans must me casual supporters. Don't Las Palmas also get huge crowds?!

Vitória Sport Club (V.Guimarães) has over 11 thousand sold and they're in the second division this year...so things are changing a bit Doninha.
Don't know how many Braga have sold this year but it'll be around the same number as Guimarães I'm guessing.

Is it Braga who play in the stadium with the rock face behind either goal? Has to be one of my favourite stadiums. They did really well last year right? Were also in the trofeo Carranza...I need to start a thread for this years later...

Yup, Braga plays in the 'Estádio Municipal de Braga' which was carved out of the side of a mountain.
I'm also a fan of that stadium. I like to watch the night games they have there, it's quite the sight.

17,400 now sold. The attendances for the Trofeo Carranza games were very good although it was not full for both of Cadiz' games.
The season starts on Sunday I will start a thread for the segunda tomorrow! Or the "liga BBVA" whatever that is! Not quite as bad as the Coca Cola Championship still! How long before La Liga gets sponsership within its name?

Can't beat the Portuguese "bwinLiga", which might just be an upgrade from last year's "LigaBetandwin.com" .
Yup, both are crappy, but I find the new one less offensive to my ears.
I didn't mind the "Super Liga Galp Energia", I just didn't like the 'Super' part. Really it was similar to the "Barcley's English Premiership".
