Can this be true? Are Milan fans ignoring season tickets in an organised protest, or is this just general disappointment?

Milan fans ignore season tickets
Usually Milan sell about 10-15% more season tickets than Inter, but apparently this summer while Inter ve already sold over 24,000 season tickets (which is about normal for this stage), Milan ve sold less than 1000!!!
Can this be true? Are Milan fans ignoring season tickets in an organised protest, or is this just general disappointment?

Re: Milan fans ignore season tickets
It has nothing to do with glory-hunting Ozil, at least not for the majority of fans.
You have to understand that these fans have been taken for a ride for years now by that scumbag Galliani, who has left the squad to decay while refusing to make any real investments blaming it all on the economic crisis, the high taxes and just about everything imaginable where at the same time Milan's direct rivals are strengthening. Even now he sold Kaka' and Gourcuff for just about 80 million and he refuses to spend on any decent players, looking for the cheap option as always(like loaning Huntelaar for example).
At the same time he still wants the fans to buy season tickets so he can pocket more money that he will never spend.
This is a form of protest and the only way to add real pressure to these shitheads, to either get their act together or sell the club. If the fans kept buying season tickets like they used to then the management would see no reason to change their act, since the only thing they care about is money.
edit: And in about two hours(pre-season start) a large number of ultras will be gathered outside the Milanello to protest.

I think the season ticket sales is as strong a message of protest as any. Berlu & Galliani have completely lost it, the revenues they will generate in the near future by signing 2-3 top players now will more than offset the cost. Milan are not too far from being a class team, just 2-3 top players away from competing on all fronts. Its so shortsighted, if you are spending over 100M on your team anyways, why not spend 20% more and make a successful team, rather than risk disaster with such an expensive squad??

Milan Ultras Launch Aggressive Protests At Milanello
Rossoneri Ultras are causing havoc outside Milan's training complex with aggressive behaviour and flares being thrown at the ground and towards police...
Milan's first day back from the summer holidays has got off to the worst possible start as hundreds of angry Ultras caused trouble outside the club's training ground during today's lunch-hour.
Bottles, various objects and flares were hurled towards the club buildings as journalists from Sky Sport Italia ran for cover. Fans continued to launch heavy insults towards the club's directors, unhappy that the pre-season, which begins later today, kicks-off with no new striker or signings following the departure of Kaka to Real Madrid.
The Ultras aimed their anger towards the club's owner, Silvio Berlusconi, and vice-president Adriano Galliani. They are clearly angered by Berlusconi's comments in today's edition of La Gazzetta Dello Sport where the chief claims the club are stronger than Inter.
"Anyone who tries to stop us will end up in hospital," chanted the 100 or so fans outside the club, according to Sky Sport Italia.
Police soon arrived at the scene and restored some order, but the Ultras are in no mood for conciliation. The protests have been toned down somewhat following the police presence, but the fans are demanding answers.
Leonardo and Galliani are expected to give a press conference later today.

Didn't someone from Milan said they didn't need to recruit because there are enough good players. Saw that somewhere and it looks like someone is taking the piss.

Roma will be better, Genoa have improved their squad, Napoli have improved their squad, Juvemerda look to have assembled their best squad in years, (Diego for only 20m ) Fiorentina have cemented themselves as the 'real deal' with soe really quality players.
Calcio will be brilliant.

Deal was made before the inflation year, he was a flop at Milan and I doubt Bordeaux could have afforded to pay any more.

As DS says...
Gourcuff was not very good for us, so we put a 15 million euro pricetag on him when we loaned him.
As for Milan--the fans who live in Italy should just boycott them. Not go to any games, and not buy any merchandise. This is for the good of the club in the long run.
At least then there is a tiny chance that this filth will leave this club.

Juve are much stronger, doing the right things in the market. They need just 1-2 players to seriously challenge Inter on level ground, and from the looks of it, they are going to get those players.
The mid table was already quite strong last season, and may even get stronger this season. Genoa, Napoli, & Lazio are looking to push the CL sides even more next season.
IMO Serie A will be much more interesting than last season. Only Milan among the top 10 are looking weaker than last season.

Juve have a good squad but for me the question is over their manager...not sure if going with Ferrarra was the best idea when Spalletti was available.

You of all people should understand why they went with Ciro!!
But yes, I agree. Juve should ve gone for the tried & tested. Even Mancini was available, tho I would ve hated that. But Mancio is much more reliable than the likes of Ranieri or someone untested like Ciro...

Re: Milan fans ignore season tickets
I know Guardiola will become a standard response to such cases, but there is a slight difference. The only real alternative to Guardiola seemed to be Mourinho, and we already know how many "cons" he had against him when discussing whether he should be Barça coach. Whereas the likes of Spalletti or even Mancini, like you mention, would have been pretty good options for Juve.

Re: Milan fans ignore season tickets
Baldie said that the season ticket figure is incorrect and that up until now we have sold around 6800 tickets, which is around 20% less than last year. According to him, this means that 80% of the fans are in agreement with the management.
Seriously, what a tool.
