My Brooklyn buddies just told me that Real Madrid have signed Gago and Higuaín. Mind you these same friends told me that Baptista was on his way to Chelsea, but he changed his mind at the last moment when Real Madrid came calling. Make of it whatever you want. Gago and Higuaín are fine players.

Not like New York is exactly the centre of the footballing world.

They might be saying lots of stuff in Brooklyn, but they aren't saying anything the boys in Paris, London, Toronto, Buenos Aires, Madrid, Porto, Berlin, Lisbon ect. ect. ect. haven't said either...it's called the internet and you can read sports papers with it buddy, and everyone does it.

If you're lucky you can get on the wire, and get the news before the news agency even publish it...but again anyone at even the simplest radio station can get that ...anywhere in the world.

I was just sharing some "inside" info for the good lads here. I KNOW some of you believe it's BS, and that's fine too. That's why I wrote "make of it whatever you want" or you can wait a whole month until the "official" word is out.

Luso, for your info, there is a huge New York-Miami connection when it comes down to info regarding player transfers. A lot of the deals are "sealed" in Miami. Believe it or not.

El fichaje de Gago por el Real Madrid se encuentra en estos momentos en punto muerto. Según ha adelantado la cadena Ser, el club blanco y Boca Juniors rompieron las negociaciones alrededor de las tres de la madrugada al no ponerse de acuerdo en el precio del traspaso del centrocampista argentino. Biglia has been very impressive...seen him 2 or 3 times with Anderlecht in the CL this season. Could probably get him for less than 10 m. euro as well.

I've honestly not seen Higuain other than highlights. Forward player, obviously, from what I've read can play a little bit more on the right side of attack or as a centre forward. Good finisher, that much seems clear from what I've seen...
