Spain 0 - 1 Romania

The poor results under Aragones seem to be continuing...Spain apparently dominating possession, but are still 1-0 down to Romania. Not that they're a bad team, but you'd expect Spain to do better, esp. since they're at home.

But the real reason is probably because there's no Barca players in the squad

At halftime Senna and Oubina came on for X. Alonso and Cesc.

How good is Oubina? i remember Arsenal being linked to him in the summer.

He had an excellent season as defensive midfielder last year for Celta...I don't think he's starting quality for Spain, but a decent squad player. Probably would do well in most club teams.

I thought Iniesta was called up?

He got a small injury during the last game..

Angulo was piss poor which is strange cos he is doing really well with Valencia.

I didn't even watch the game. Somehow I knew Spain would find a way to fuck it up. Let's see if Guti finally gets called up for the next game. It seems that by now Spain's only hope is for Mr. Burns to get a heart attack and die since he's never gonna get fired.

It was great when the Carranza started booing Spain and cheering Romania, i think they got mixed up with the kits ... ese cadiz oe !

Obviously you can't rule them out. But looking at the group, Spain are already behind by quite a few points...if the performances don't improve, they'll really struggle in the group. The recent results are quite shocking: lost 2-0 to Sweden, lost to N. Ireland, friendly loss to Romania last night (though they beat Argentina), and they could only beat Liechtenstein 1-0!!!
