just seen something on TV about it. Terrible for this police officer. Could he not just have shot someone in the legs first? or did he?

The story is as followed:
Soon after the game that ended up 4-2 for the visitors (Hapoël Tel-Aviv ), around 100 ultra parisian fans (from Boulogne, the worst basically) surrounded an Israelian fan and started beating him up. An undercover cop, was there, and managed to mix up in the angry crowd and pull out the Isralian fan. Immediately they sheltered in the nearby Mac Donlad and closed the doors. The fans destroyed the windows and doors of the store and started coming in while singing racist songs (the police officer being black, and the Israelian jew). The two men went up to the second floor, waiting for some help which only came after ten minutes. Well done the cops
. Being beaten up on the floor the cop only's choice was to take his gun and shoot once, perforating one supporter's lungs and another's heart, killing this latter immediately. M. Granomort explain that it was his only issue to use his gun. Mort actually means death in French.
Well done, ths won't help the problems and the crisis P.S.G are in, super crap team and stupid supporters.
